The elephant in the room: Presentation, updated models/pics overhaul?

Will we see any of this at all this season? EA's Madden has been notorious in sweeping under the rug the obvious things they need to improve. I said it before i'll say it again... My team is pretty bad, but why are we not getting player updates along with many other teams. It's pretty sad that Stevie Johnson is on his 3rd straight 1000 yard season with Buffalo, and I expect to see the same model for him next season as with other teams and players. I mean it's a blatant over look when NOTHING is even attempted to make the player even try to look like their real life counterpart, and YES it does make a difference with how modern games presentation is, and how much you see the player during the game.

Presentation is another entire issue here... I know, I know. Take 2K's basketball series and turn it into football in terms of the goodies they give you in game with an amazing presentation and commentary package. This is the direction and future of sports gaming and EA is lagging behind when in fact they should be the front runner with how popular the NFL truly is, instead we have a game that feels 5-10 years dated in terms of evolution.

I just don't want to be excited for MADDEN 25, only to get kicked in the can again by a team that is over confident that they are giving us the best product for the NFL that they can, and they truly don't.

You are very passionate about this subject but is OS really the best place? Why don't you try social media? You could probably attempt to directly contact somebody who has an actual say in the process.

They fall into the cracks and that don't need to be bumped. Another season is upon us and i'm sure there are a ton of other XP etc. threads. I am speaking for all the fans of teams out there that get the shaft, not just mine as I noted. Social media does nothing. I hold OS high on the list of places to get a question or two answered by a real connect to the Madden franchise.

You are coming across as trying to clown me, and that's not really fair when i am just trying to get a buzz started for a new season.

For the record it's not even just SJ13, it's Fred Jackson , CJ Spiller and plenty of other standouts on that team that need updating. Many other NFL players are getting the same treatment that deserve to be updated in the game. Until you are a fan of a team that gets no respect in MADDEN, you will never understand.

I am not trying to clown you. You have made four threads on OS with a similar objective and I have not seen any EA rep reply to you. I posted a suggestion I thought would help you get an answer since the attempts on OS have been unsuccessful.

Apparently you feel differently.

You gotta have your shield up here, and I would rather post and try to create a buzz every now and then, instead of bumping old threads from different seasons. Twitter, you get lost in the shuffle of praising posts from EA heads, and FB, forget about it. Like I said I actually had an EA rep reply to a post a few months back, so posting every now and again to try and create a buzz isn't truly hurting anything. If this falls into the cracks then so be it, i'll post late Spring again to try and get something going and at least try to get them to see we need some major improvements.

He's a great receiver along with every other player that's a WR or every other position in this game that doesn't get updated. Allow me to ask who your favorite NFL team is?

It's not about ratings man. It's about how the likeness is not there for he and quite a few other BILLS not to mention the entire NFL. Player portraits for most players in the game are 5-7 years old, and the scans are outdated as well. If you are going the level of presentation that MADDEN is working up to, nothing is more of a buzz-kill before or after a game when they feature your teams star player only to have him look like a default generic model. This is ranked up there with the uniform errors and stadium field outdated logos and endzones. These are things that are very overlooked and easy to fix.

I as well as many other fans have paid our money only to see our teams not look accurate in game. I get it, like when Game changer said they focus on the winning teams... but come on... we all pay the same for this game and the rate the BILLS front office is going... we are not going to win for a looong time!

I understand what stampede is saying....I too am a huge bills fan and its not about ratings update, it's player model appearance and in game pictures....it is ridiculous how they don't look like they should and it brings the immersion down a notch, and it is true for many players across all the teams, I don't understand how hard it can be to at least update everyone rated at least an 80 across the board

unrelated but I also want to add that I LOVE the bills shout song playing after a td but for the love of god why drown it out with the kickoff music...it's so baffling and makes me question why do they even bother putting that song in when it gets drowned out before you can enjoy it

FINALLY someone see's it. As a fan of lower market not so popular NFL teams, we all get a huge insult from EA. I don't get it why they choose not to update at the LEAST player portraits and face scans. It's truly not that hard to do and anyone will tell you that. At least give us the option to make more than one player on the EA Game Face or let us edit our own way. Every year I have been loyal to Madden as a consumer, but they certainly haven't been to me. The Shout song got cut down and drowned out, it's pathetic how bad the art and sound is in this game for accuracy. Why do I buy it? Plain and simple... I need that NFL fix and until there is a true competition... then we can sit here and accept it, or voice our opinions and hope they are heard.

We truly are not asking for a miracle, just some texture and portrait edits, and anyone who has modded games over the past decade can tell you how truly easy and not time consuming that it is.

There needs to be updates player models and photos, if not then ill be annoyed, they need to upgrade the presentation of madden as it is so having the same profile pics which have been in the game since earlier than Madden 11 would ruin the whole atmosphere. As for player models, they are next. The models look stupid, the muscles look plastic, honestly the faces look fat and there teeth and mouths are as goofy as anything. In all honesty compared to games out Now, the graphics on the players are poor.
