Best off-line franchise mode of past 4 years?

So with no football on Sundays for many months I am looking for something to fill my football fix in the interim. I understand that the question I'm asking has been asked and answered before (and I've read those impressions) but I haven't seen any substantive answer now that all the 2013 updates have come out.

So, which game has the best off-line franchise mode? I am more interested in realism and gameplay over things like graphics, presentation/experience, fantasy drafts, etc. Which game is the least frustrating in terms of dumb AI trades and drafting decisions, unrealistic stats (especially in terms of interceptions, completion percentage, and ypc), and in-game AI?

    Thanks in advance.

13 is probably the best but, that is not setting the bar very high. Franchise has been a hollow shell of its former glory for years. Madden 12 made an effort but, failed miserably with the Undrafted Free Agents issue. Madden 13 is the next best. Certain things are missing but as far as being close to complete it is the best.

All this being said, it is still not that great.
