    Overall Ratings

Well, since everyone complains about people bding under, or overrated, should the system taken out?
If so, what would replace them?

    Re: Overall Ratings

It shouldn't be totally removed but it would be cool if we had an option to turn it off, then in association mode we would have a use scouting to really get the identity of a player instead of automatically knowing they're caliber.

No they shouldn't remove them. They should get some well known NBA statician or blogger like Zach Lowe or Henry Abbot to alter their current formulas so that unathletic white guys who can shoot aren't underrated (like Dirk, Bonner, Novak). The PF position doesn't put enough value on 3s.

Overall rating system? As in, "Hey! this player is a 75 and he should be a 78!" ? It means absolutely nothing to me. If it was removed, I wouldn't care.

          Re: Overall Ratings

The Overall rating should be more reflective of what is going on currently in the NBA, instead of being a "life-time" achievement score.

It also should not be used as the base value judgement by the AI, because it often leads to misleading inferior decisions, especially when considering rotations and substitutions.

If any stat should be "hidden" from the end-user, it is the current OVR.

Oh, and because MJ stated he would chose Bryant over James, we all know Kobe should have a higher OVR rating then Lebron...
