I was on YT and seen a 2k myteam wishlist vid By Two Brother Gaming.

So, I guess it about that time of year the devs are work on their next project. Why not make a thread then.

IMO MyTeam is the best 2k game mode to date, but like every thing it has some flaws and can be frustrating at times. MyTeam has great potential. With a few changes for 2k14 MyTeam can reach its potential.

Here some ways I think MyTeam can improve for NBA2K14

First and for most you should be able to play custom MyTeam matches vs friends or who ever you want to play. There should be no vc gain or loss form these matches. We should be able to choose difficulty and game style for these matches. Robby brings up a point in his vid, wager matches for VC or player. I have a few ppl on my friend list on xbox that also play MyTeam. We go back and forth compering teams and talking smack on who has the better team and who would win in a MyTeam game. To bad were just suck with R2P games fo now. Let's be frank most of the ppl you get matched up with in R2P games are BAD at the game. The way R2P games are set up now, doesn't lends it self for competitive games and that to bad.

The Market, where to start..................our friend over at 2k havn't been very punctual with keeping the market updated. I don't think that would change, so that's why they should abandon the current system. Locking injured player and locking player wile their in a game.

That's just a couple of things for now

I personally think MyTeam is pretty close to perfect, but there are a few notable things that should be improved. First, you should be able to play your friends - that seems elementary. Next, and perhaps most importantly, the market system NEEDS to more accurately reflect players' overalls. LeBron James should not be the same price as Jrue Holiday. Horford shouldn't be the same price as Dwight - there should be an echelon of players, those rated 90 and above, that are above gold and cost a minimum of 40,000 VC. This would prompt more variety in the mode. Third, I think it's imperative that the ability to trade be set up...I have a TON of gold legends that I'm sure many people would want. I'd trade most of them for Horace Grant. It's be great if I could trade for him.

The incentives should probably change too...right now unlocking MJ feels sort of like an endgame. Maybe add tournaments for VC and legend prizes, or give a reward for going 12-0 in first seed? I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with the mode in 2k14 - it has the potential to be pretty awesome.

I actually think a "Wheel of Fortune" would be pretty cool. Some packs would have a wheel ticket. This ticket would allow you to get a player...the players are on the board and the wheel is spun. Do I get a legend? Do I get a scrub? Its up to luck...

Or possibly a legend tourney...in stead of playing for bird magic and MJ, you can enter in to a bracket for Nique or Hakeem.

Or a more intuitive pack system where it wont give you repeats. I hate repeats. I cant begin to tell you how many times I have pulled Mark Aguirre or Abdul Rauf (who seems to not be obtainable at the moment)

Tournaments for legend would be a great addition. 40k vc for superstars and 60k for top legends sounds right

Agreed. There needs to be something added to make this mode last longer next year. I had a couple ideas.
1. Chemistry-get a boost for guys that play together IRL. Coolege or pro.
2. Either a Salary Cap or exspiring contracts. Cap could be rating based or Tier based. Like X number of Gold etc.
3-make fatigue matter. Longer games or more of a drain per minute. At least you would have to use more players.
4-Penalize guys for playing players outside their primary or secondary position with a ratings drop.
Not sure where 2K will land but this mode needs a lot of refining.

Make the packs a bit more expensive and guarantee there will be a player in each one. Let me play friends in an exhibition. Don't allow 3 pt cheesers to have a chance. Make legends value higher than 500 vc. Let me see someone's lineup before I'm forced to play them.

All I want is a legendary trade house and the difficulty to go up. Idk if its on pro or what but the amout of 3's has GOT to go down. Played a dude that went 27 for 51 on me from behind the arc. That's crazy because first of all the threes are so easy that someone feels comfortable shooting over 50 threes in a 20 minute game second of all he made 27 lol love the mode but it gets frustrating. Well also I think the salary is frustrating for the lack of VC you get. It's not worth putting gold skills on a gold player because you only get 250 for a game

You should also get more vc for winning rtp games and just for playing them too as you advance.

I'd personally rather have the players just come with the sig skills they have in the game. Adding good skills to players makes the salaries way too expensive. Either that or make salary a collateral that you get back unless you quit.

1.Love the tournament idea
2. Play with friends ( how was this missed?)
3. Upper echelon of players. LBJ same price as Jrue is a no-no
4. The ability to add sigs make the mode cheesy sometimes
5. Cap on players ( guess this is too much for casuals)
6. Trading players ( if caps are available)
7. Featured team of the week!

Loved 2k since i got 2k11 and MyTeam is the only mode i wanna play now. First of all, i hope they add more legends next year, whether they were on a great team or not. Just put in a bank of hall of fame players for us! I finally won the 9 games in the 1st seed today, and nothing happened...how bout i should have gotten a pack similar to when i reached the 4th seed and got penny hardaway? That would make it really competitive and get alot of us playing each other in the first seed trying to go 9-3. So it would still be kind of rare and 2k can still rake money on people buying boosters.

They should have booster packs for each position... Like pg sg sf pf and c packs... Keep the rarity of getting a gold player the same but at least allow us to have some influence over what type of player we want to pull

I've posted my thoughts a few times in the MyTeam thread....will do so again here...

1) More player LEVELS.

I am talking about the Bronze, Gold, Silver levels. Three levels is not enough to differentiate players.

I suggest 5 levels. Free, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

The new levels are obviously the Free and Platinum. The Free level would be the lowest rated players, and NOT include low-rated players who have one exceptional Skill. That means defensive specialists like Thabo and Tony Allen would NOT be Free players....same thing goes for a shooter like Steve Novak.

This is the category for roster-filler guys. Hamed Haddadi....Luke Harangoady...etc.

Platinum level is the best of the best....probably 10 or 12 guys fall into this level. It's the ELITE level...we're not talking just "All Stars" here....but the real game-changers.

LeBron, CP3, Carmelo, Kobe, Dwight Howard, Harden, Durant, Westbrook, Wade, Kyrie....there's 10. Derrick Rose?

This would leave some pretty good players at Gold level...Dirk, Holiday, Josh Smith, Duncan, Blake Griffin, Iggy, etc....

What this means is MORE variety. Now there is a DIFFERENCE between LeBron and Paul George....right now there isn't, and it's why 99.9% of the people choose LeBron in that scenario.

Platinum players would also be EXPENSIVE to BUY and pay per game. I think Platinum players VC cost should START at 100,000 VC. And the per game salary should be 200 VC, double the cost of a Gold.

These are the ELITE game-changing players in the NBA....having them on your team should COST you.

The rest should be about the same....

Free player per game is 0, Bronze up to 25 VC, Silver 50, and Gold 100....and Platinum 200....pretty simple.



2) Salary Cap

Some sort of salary cap option would be AWESOME. Notice that I said OPTION.

Much like Player levels, give us similar Salary Cap levels. Perhaps similar in structure to the current EXH games VS the CPU - Rookie, Pro, All Star....maybe with an Unlimited Level with NO salary cap.

This adds some team-building STRATEGY to MyTeam. Rookie level games would have a salary cap of 200 VC.

So you could have 1 Platinum player...and 11 Free players....or 4 Silvers and 8 Free....or 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze, and 8 Free....

Now it's about budgeting resources and building a team...not just stockpiling the 12 best Golds.



3) Play your friends.

This is a MUST. 'Nuff said...haven't really heard anyone argue with this one. Honestly don't know how it was left out this year.


4) Custom jerseys, team names, etc

Not up there on the list....but this would be cool. Like the TeamBuilder in NCAA Football....could even be online.

At the very least, I'd like to see some random or generic items added. If you remember the old 2K's used to let you build Custom teams....and had generic graphics that were available. i believe College Hoops had the same for Create-a-School....these graphics have to be around 2K somewhere...so why not USE them?

Maybe add some new ones...or let us upload images. Although I can see issues with uploading and understand if that is not possible.


5) More Players/ No Injuries

This is a pet peeve of mine....first the injury thing is SILLY. Instead of making a player impossible to buy or sell if he gets hurt, just FREEZE his value!

MyTeam is the one place we should be able to play with INJURED players....and add them to our team. I should be able to use D Rose in MyTeam...or Al Harrington....or Andrew Bynum.

This makes too much sense to me.

These guys are in the game but unavailable in Quick Match games with the updated online roster....but what about people who WANT to use them??? They have no way to do it online...let MyTeam be the place.

Same goes for FREE AGENTS....it would be nice to add Kenyon Martin or Michael Redd or James Posey....or maybe even Adam Morrison to my MyTeam. They are already in the game. So what is the problem?

On the flip side, it's not like this already isn't going on....I can go to MyTeam and buy Delonte West who hasn't played all season....or Luke Harangoady who was released by the Cavs...or LOTS of other players. Royce White was available all season despite his "issues".

I believe I came up with a list of almost 30 guys who are CURRENT Free Agents who are available in MyTeam...but not on a roster...Why not just put ALL the players into MyTeam??? It would add another dimension to the mode.



6) More Legends

Obvious one here....it would be cool to have more classic teams and therefore more Legends. I don't think you'd find one person who isn't a fan of this.


7) Better MarketPlace

I'd really like to see more of a TRUE marketplace for players...I just don't think it's possible for 2K to pull off...and on top of that, I don't think it's necessary.

I know other games do it, like FIFA, but there is something MORE fun about the way 2K's version is set up. There aren't as many restrictions. If I have the VC(or money) I can put together the team I WANT....it really is MY Team.

Fixing the player disparity issues that come with the player levels and VC cost will help add VARIETY to the teams that is missing from this year's mode.

Something also needs to be done about the player values....it clearly heavily favors big guys....one look at the market shows that. Al Horford is the highest value player??? REALLY??!?!?

LeBron is less than Joakim Noah? Even with that crazy streak he had....
