The Show - worth buying a PS3 for?

Is the Show worth buying a PS3 for? I have used the Xbox for years now ( well i have an xbox but mainly use PC) and sooo..is it worth it to buy a ps3 just for a baseball game? I have heard a lot about this game but never had the opportunity to give it a try. I have not played a Baseball game in about 2 years. Last one I really enjoyed was High Heat Baseball 2004 (loved it)

I can't imagine any single game would be worth $250+, but if one was, The Show would be on that list. But there are so many outstanding Sony exclusives that you are missing out on by having only and XBox that if you played just half of them your purchase of a PS3 would be definitely worth it. If you do get a PS3, games like the Uncharted, inFamous, and Ratchet and Clank series are not to be missed. As are many others like the God of War games, Heavy Rain, LittleBigPlanet... I could go on and on and on.

Absolutely...that's exactly what I did, I got so fed up with the garbage of a game that 2K was putting out that I had to buy a PS3...I love baseball to much to not have a baseball game to play

Ditto that. Go ahead and buy a ps3 - you won't be dissapointed. Also, this is purely personal preference but I find the ps3's controller so much more comfortable than the 360's.

Yes because I did, also picked up the incredible Uncharted Games and Heavy Rain, we also have the awesome looking Last of Us to look forward to!

This. Play Uncharted 1,2, and 3. Life altering. Not to mention The Last of Us, coming in June, looks freaking unbelievable. I am usually not a fan of overly violent games, but my goodness, this game looks so incredible.

And Ratchet and Clank are and have always been the bomb.

I honestly believe that MLB the Show is the greatest video game series ever created. Call me crazy, but if I had to pick one game to buy per year, this is the one. I think its worth buying a ps3 for it. Also, you can get many Sony-exclusive games like other people here have pointed out.

I agree 100%. MLB the Show is the greatest game ever.

This game was the only reason I got rid of my 360 and bought a PS3 in 2008.
