    Tonic's Opening Night Rosters

    Introduction:
I have spent many hours editing these rosters. They are based off of PetrPuck's Opening Night Roster and are Be a GM ready. They are based off of EA's ratings, so the "Player Roles" (1st liner, 3rd Line Scoring, Top 6, etc.) are still accurate. Top 6 players will generally be in the mid to upper 80s and bottom 6 players will be in the low 80s to upper 70s. This is important for future seasons as the game is hard-coded to use EA's rating system. Here's a summary of the changes:

    Features:
-Reworked potentials of prospects for each team according to hockeysfuture.com
    -50 man rosters
    -Several player rating tweaks
    -Correct captains
    -Lowered the free agency pool
-Top rookies will actually play, usually in the Top 6 thanks to EA's reworked logic this year! (Galchenyuk, Yakupov, Tarasenko, Zibajenad, Hamilton, etc.)
-Edited top prospects for 2013, 2014, 2015 NHL draft. The top couple of picks are NHL ready and have high potential and rated in the upper 70s to low 80s. This includes Jones, MacKinnon, Ekblad, Reinhart and McDavid. These guys have a good chance to start playing in the NHL right away, as they should. The 2013 draft class is accurate up to 20 picks or so, and 2014 is accurate up to the top 10 or so. I did put Nathan Noel in the 2014 class since you can't create a player with a birthday past 1996

    Draft Picks:
For the 2013 draft, CBJ owns LA's and NYR's 1st round pick, ANA owns NYI's 2nd round pick, STL owns OTT 2nd round pick, and NYJ loses their 1st round pick this year (or next year) for the Kovalchuk signing. Here's my method of getting these draft picks to go to the correct team:
-Move 5 players from the AHL to free agency. Make sure you move 5 players that your team actually owns the rights to. The best way to check this is to go start a Be a GM with the team you will be. Go to the contracts screen and hit X. This will show you the players you have in your system. Write down the names of first 5 players with the AHL logo beside their name.
-Now, quit Be a GM and reload my rosters. Go to the player movement screen and move the 5 players you wrote down to free agency.
-Move Voynov, Del Zotto, Hamonic, Zibanejad, and Henrique to your AHL team. Be sure to transfer the rights to your NHL team when it asks
-Start your actual Be a GM
-Trade for the 1st round pick for LA, NYR, NJD and 2nd rounder from NYI and OTT, giving each team their respective player.
-Trade the 1st round picks of LA and NYR to CBJ for a 7th rounder
-Trade 2nd rounder of NYI to ANA for 7th rounder and same for OTT to STL
-Keep NJD's 1st round pick and draft the worst player in the draft
-Sign the 5 players back to your AHL team that your originally moved to free agency. If you want accurate contract numbers, you can use capgeek.com
-Voila, you now have the correct draft picks for the 2013 draft (2014 and beyond is already good to go). Granted there are still some 3rd-7th round picks that aren't given to their respective teams but it would be a little too much to do this for every pick.

I hope you enjoy the rosters!!!

Currently working on: Re-checking potentials and position changes.

    Still need to do:
-Look at 2013, 2014, and 2015 prospects again to determine overall and potential changes.
-4+ season sim test to make sure everything looks good.

        Saturday 4pm update:

I'm pretty much done double-checking the prospects of 20 of the 30 teams. I'm also checking the 2013, 2014 and 2015 prospects again. Then I'll do a 4 season sim test and I'll be all done. I would expect a release by midnight EST tonight. I promise they are worth the wait!

Almost finished! I'm doing my sim testing right now. These took me so much longer than I expected! I'll upload them within the hour

The finishing touches of this roster took forever! I've been working on them for the last 8 hours! Regardless, they're now complete. Enjoy!

                      About to try these now.

Did you remove retired players from free agency Tonic?

                        Re: Tonic's Opening Night Rosters

Not really. Most of them are rated low enough that they won't be signed and will just retire after the first season.

                          Re: Tonic's Opening Night Rosters

Used xPlorer (as I do with all of my roster files, which usually works), but this roster isn't being recognized in-game Tonic.

It's recognized on the Xbox 360, but not in game. This could be because you changed the name of the roster file on your computer. Re-upload it with the original roster name (ROSTER7997644...or whatever it is), but save it as whatever you want in-game (Tonic's Opening Night Roster).

                          This should fix the problem.
