I hope you can do a lot of these, such as the hit by pitch trophies and other hitting trophies, in RTTS even though you are technically fast forwarding to your next at bat.

I hope that doesn't include Playback Time and Disrespected. The number of times I got intentionally walked or HBP were so little, that to have to follow up each of these events with a timely HR would be nearly impossible. Unless you coded these events differently this year and it'll happen more frequently.

Wish these could have at least been done in a online matchups. The game is much more fun with friends.

I agree, but unfortunately most of the trophies would be a little easy to pick up with a willing HUM opponent or say just setting up a second controller under a cheater's control. It's much cooler to have a trophy in your collection if you know no one can just cheese it into their collection too, no?

Many of them you can as long as they make sense. Like not requiring multiple players (i.e. one's not under your control) to do "something" to fulfill trophy requirements.

I agree about not being able to "cheese it" (I love that term), but there needs to be a better balance between an extremely rare circumstances and something a little more achievable.

The first time I have runners on second and third with one out, with the number number 8 hitter at the box ,with the pitcher on deck, early in the game, and I don't get the intentional walk... I'll be angry. And if I do get the intentional walk, I'll go against all baseball wisdom and pinch hit for my pitcher.

Thanks for the clarity Woodweaver and also thanks (to whoever is responsible) for getting this list out early. In years past we've scrambled to get a glimpse of the list before release date.

The specific home run trophies will be tough. It's not exactly easy to aim a homer at the RF foul pole.

It's not hard. Just play home run derby with a left hand batter and keep pulling the ball. This is a duplicate trophy from a previous year, I forget which. The Home Run trophies are always my favorites.

Next year, if anyone's listening, make us hit a specific spot in every stadium. Make them in groups. For example, hit a home run at a location in all the AL East parks, then AL Central, AL West, etc. Only after hitting a spot in each stadium in each division, ding, trophy pop. The only difficult part would be putting the specific locations in the trophy title unless there was a "target" of sorts, but oh well.

There's 6 divisions, so that would be 6 home run related trophies. Model the trophy icons after the division winner from the previous season.

Every year, as a Reds fan, I wish for a trophy to let you hit the smoke stacks or hit the "hit it here to win this truck" sign.

These seem like a lot of fun though. I'm worried about a few though but since I have all the trophies for MLB 9, 10, 11 and 12 (soon as I throw a perfect game) so I'll be making a run for these too!

I can't wait to get a copy! I'm glad many can be earned in RTTS though, that's my favorite mode and you couldn't only earn a couple in previous years this way. However I'll be playing a lot of franchise with the changes this year.

Not a Reds fan but I know what you mean - I hit one onto the boat behind CF one game and thought "they need to have a trophy for hitting one there".

I just met the requirement for hitting the apple at Citi Field this year. In fact, I did it a couple of times. And every time I did it, I was disappointed that the trophy was in an older version and not 12.


I think the toughest HR trophy this year will be hitting that drum at Turner Field. I never knew it existed before this list, went to look for it's location, impossible.
