Geez Peralta looked more like Jose Reyes making that play on Aybar's grounder!

Did enjoy the video though, looks pretty good.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I don't think J.P. has that kind of range.

Man, this game is gorgeous. From the graphics, the animations, proper player movements, the sounds, it just oozes baseball.
But the one thing that has driven me to the brink of insanity over the past 2 years is this.

At the 1:22 mark of that video, Max pitches a slider where 95% of that ball is in the strike zone and yet it's called a ball.
Later on, in Miggy's AB, he guts rung up on a high fastball. We never get to see where the ball was located, but from my estimate, it didn't come close to hitting the zone nearly as well as Scherzer's opening pitch.

I've seen this kind of thing happen with either umpire setting. It doesn't seem to matter.
I don't mind it once in a while, but in my time with '11 and '12, the CPU seemed to get the benefit of favourable calls more than I did - and on pitches that had no business being called a ball.
I'd even be okay if the ball was 50/50 or 60/40 in the zone. But it happens way too many times where almost all of the ball is in the strike zone.

Last year I rectified this by not opting to install the additional 5 or 10GB.

It's not the PS3. My game has stuttering moments as well. Mostly in the menus, but sometimes during a game. I had the first game freeze today too.

Don't change it on my account though. I know I get too wound up with the missed strikes in this game, so I was just venting.

It's not the PS3. My game has stuttering moments as well. Mostly in the menus, but sometimes during a game. I had the first game freeze today too.

I saw it during the recent Royals-Phillies video too. It happens at the 1:05 mark and then again (quite often) during Butler's at-bat.

Hopefully it can be patched.

Yep this is looking more and more like a real issue and needs to be addressed. Menus and cutscenes are one thing, but it is happening very often during the actual gameplay.

Whether it can be remedied by installing data, not installing, whatever. Its a problem with retail copies of the game.
