Finished the regular season with a 26-3 record, Best record in the league and 1st seed in the East, 1st year rookie Adonis Thomas set a new franchise record with 61 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers breaking Michael Redd's old record of 57pts.

This year, both the Western and Eastern conference playoffs will feel slightly empty as former playoff powerhouses the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, L.A. Lakers, L.A. Clippers and last years champions the OKC Thunder all failed to reach the playoffs this year.
When talking about teams that actually made the playoffs, the San Antonio Spurs with the starting five of: Parker, Ginobili, Leonard, Duncan and Howard topped the West and will play the 8th seeded Jazz and head ontp eventual Western Conference Finals success. Out East the Bucks topped the Rankings with best record in the NBA and will play the 8th seeded Wizards whom the Bucks topped 99-129 in the last game of the regular season.

The Playoff Conference Finals are here, pitting the 4th seeded Denver Nuggets against the 8th seeded Jazz in the West, and in the East, the 1st seed Milwaukee Bucks against the 4th seeded Miami Heat

Utah Jazz

Out West, the lowly Jazz have swept their way straight through to the Conference finals after taking the Spurs lead by Dwight Howard, and Anthony Davis & Eric Gordon's Hornets without dropping a game. Danilo Gallinari took control averaging 20+ Pts, 7 Reb and 5 assists throughout the Spurs series. Most Improved Player Of The Year winner Gordon Hayward along with Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson lead the Jazz past the Hornets and will hope to continue their form against Denver.

Denver Nuggets

Kenneth Faried and Javale McGee turned up for the Nuggets in their 1st round matchup against Memphis to neutralize and dominate both Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol allowing Andre Iguodala to pitch in the remaining effort for the Nuggets in the 1st round. Javale McGee made a bid to proove he's more than just the goofy bigman who guarantees us at least one boneheaded move a game, and to cement himself as one of the best centers on the league leading the Nuggets through their 2nd Round series with James Harden's Rockets, averaging 20+ Pts and 12 Reb throughout with a few blocks on the side, Ty Lawson also averaged a cool double-double throughout proving too much for Lin averaging 12 Pts and 14 Ast. The Nuggets will hope McGee can continue his run of form and lead the team against the Jazz's formidable and solid froncourt of Millsap and Jefferson, with Favours and Kanter waiting on the sidelines, McGee might have his hands full this series so expect help from Faried, Wilson Chandler and Ekpe Udoh or the Jazz may prove too much to handle.

Milwaukee Bucks:

The Milwaukee Bucks will be facing the challenge of holding the Miami Heat's stars just long enough to get a lead on hold against the formidable duo of LeBron and Wade. Adonis Thomas and Bradley Beal went "Ham" against the Wizards, with Thomas' 30 Pts and 8 Reb averages combined with Beal's 25Pts, 6 Ast, and Chris Paul's 10 Pt, 16 Ast, 5 Stl averages, jelped along by Seth Curry's great shooting with 12 pts on 4-4 from 3-Pt range thorughout against a resilient Wizards team, which lead by John Wall and Victor Oladipo could not help but lament Wall's shooting woes in this one. Chris Paul took over against the Pacers with 25 Pt, 11 Ast and 7Stl averages and taking the defensive duty of guarding the Pacers biggest threat Paul Geore and keeping him from barely reaching double figures, Adonis Thomas and Bradley Beal chipped in with more or less 20 Pts a game and Anderson Varejao matched Roy Hibbert's averages with 14 Pts and 10 Rbs a piece throughout this one, this series may have taken much longer had Varejao and the Bucks not been able to compete in the frontcourt. Milwaukee will be looking for Varejao to bring equal determination against the Heat, dominating the glass and paint to keep the Heat out. The Bucks will also look for CP3 to continue to lead this team to finals, along with solid scoring from Beal and Thomas to right the wrong done to them earlier in the season by the Heat, as the Heat were the only team to go to Milwaukee and come back with the W in regular season.

Miami Heat:

The Miami Heat's goal will be simple in this one, to hope LeBron can continue his 20+ Pt, 10 Rb, 6Ast averages along with D. Wade's 21 Pt, 7 Reb and 5 Ast numbers can stay at that level, along Bosh's 12 Pt and 9 Reb numbers and J.J. Redick's threat from outside to continue. Expect also some contributions from backup PG Mo Williams and rookie C Willie Cauley-Stein, to help see the Heat through the Bucks just as they did through the 2nd Round where their contributions helped Miami come from one down to taking the rest of the series against the 76ers. D. Wade will hope to continue dispelling rumours of age getting to him after seeing off the Bulls where LeBron took a backseat in the 1st Round, and dismantle the Bucks guards and lead the Heat to their 4th Playoff Finals in 4 years.

Question for anyone - In my 30 team association I have injuries on, and I control the rotations, should I be playing "Hurt" people? When a player is "out" obviously I have to sit them out, but the ones who can still play, is there a risk of aggravating the injury if they play limited minutes?

Wow, so I'm in year 2. I won the title year 1 with the Knicks. I can't win a game in year 2. I'm like 3-4.

I'm playing the jazz and I go up 108-105. The jazz inbound it and Shabazz Muhammad just squares up and hits a 30 footer in my face. I can just tell I'm gonna lose in OT.

Im kind of getting pissed with how unrealistic the game is. On my third seasons, Lebron is in the lakers! The two previous years the Celtics didnt make the playoffs, the Spurs made it last year but i blew them out (only lost two games las playoffs, when I won my second straight championship) on the first round... And they fired Popp! Why would they do that?? He's a legend!

Also, I used to play superstar but as I won two championships I made it harder and switched to HOF. I started 5-1 but then lost 6 straight to 5-7...As i was playing iwht the same players as last year I didnt want to trade anybody, so I decided to fire Alvin Gentry and hired Popp as soon as possible (considered Mike Spoelstra too...) and won the first game with him on the bench!

Washington Wizards 2012 Season Recap

Team Recap

Record -- 29-53
Bradley Beal [All-Rookie 1st Team]

Finished 3rd in the Southeast division, John Wall missed most of the season, returned to play 49 games and had showed he has a bright future to go along with Bradley Beal, Wall finished the season 21.0 points per game, to go with 7.5 assists per game. Beal started off his rookie season slow, but as the season went on he started showing the promise of the 3rd pick of the draft, finishing the year with 15.8 points per game. Randy Wittman said of his team we saw promise, but lots of inconsistencies, 3rd year pro Kevin Seraphin was one name Wittman said needs to work hard this off-season to give the Wizards a good 3rd option, along with 2nd year Jan Vesely who seemed to look lost at times and at other times looked like a future all-star.

Season recap, the playoffs without the Lakers, who would have thought. Well the streak has ended and Kobe, Dwight and Pau are sitting at home watching the playoffs who finished the year 42-40. The surprise Golden State Warriors sneaked into the playoffs as the 8th seed and will face off with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 1st round. Kevin Garnett decided to end his 18 year pro career after the playoffs and retired as from the Celtics.

I play 29 game season so I played 25 simmed 4. But a number of times I'd use an off-ball defender to stay on a team's star player if they were forwards or big men and the CPU would get steals with Paul with the 'Pick Pocket' sig skill and a number of times throughout the season I had to use CP3 in crunch time, as Thomas wasn't a reliable scorer 'til the 2nd half and I found Beal's shooting erratic.

NEW YORK KNICKS ASSOCIATION UPDATE #10

I ended up knocking off the Bucks in 5 games. It was a much tougher series than the final outcome showed, and the Bucks certainly were pesky, but at the end of the day, the Knicks will move on to the Conference Semis.

GAME 1

Knicks 119, Bucks 108


Probably the biggest shocker of the game was Aaron Afflalo. After having a mostly quiet regular season, he exploded with 37 points (8-10 from 3-point range) to lead the Knicks to a Game 1 victory. Iman Shumpert contributed 23 points as well, and Carmelo Anthony scored 19 while battling the flu. Nerlens Noel had 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis scored 34 and 31 points respectively for the Bucks, but no other player got more than 8 points.

GAME 2

Bucks 131, Knicks 123

After falling behind 20-4 early in the first quarter, the Bucks over came that, and rode Monta Ellis' 33-point effort to even up the series at one game a piece. Larry Sanders and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute both had double doubles (Sanders had 21 points and 16 rebounds, and Mbah a Moute had 14 points and 16 rebounds), but Brandon Jennings put up a triple double with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. The Bucks outrebounded the Knicks 71 to 43.

Aaron Afflalo scored 29 points to lead the Knicks. Nerlens Noel put up another double double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

GAME 3

Knicks 103, Bucks 94


Carmelo Anthony finally hit his stride in this game, scoring a team-high 23 points, and the Knicks held off a Bucks comeback bid in order to win this one.

Monta Ellis had another big game, scoring 31 points for the Knicks, and Brandon Jennings also followed up his triple double with a double double in this game, but it wasn't enough in the end.

GAME 4

Knicks 120, Bucks 97

The Bucks had a 61-56 lead at the half, but the Knicks held them in check in the second half, and they ended up taking this one big to put the Bucks on the brink of elimination.

Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points, and Nerlens Noel added 22.

Monta Ellis only scored 21 points, and the rest of the Bucks squad really did not make much of an impact offensively.

GAME 5

Knicks 113, Bucks 91

The Bucks fought for their playoff lives in this one, but in the end, the Knicks proved why they are the top seed in the Eastern Conference, and swiftly eliminated the pesky Bucks.

Carmelo Anthony had a double double with 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Aaron Afflalo had 11 assists in a game where he really seemed to not be able to buy a bucket.

Monta Ellis valiant effort of 30 points and 10 rebounds proved to not be nearly enough, as his 12 turnovers ended up dooming the Bucks

NEW YORK KNICKS VS CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

Greivis Vasquez vs Kyrie Irving

Vasquez, who is somewhat of a liability defensively, takes on one of the most complete point guards in the league in Irving. Vasquez often struggled again Brandon Jennings in the Bucks series, so look for him to have much more trouble against the much more talented Irving.

ADVANTAGE: Cavaliers

Aaron Afflalo vs Andre Iguodala

Afflalo exploded in the first two games against the Bucks, but quieted down in the final three. He takes on Iguodala who is more than capable of taking over games. Afflalo struggled with Monta Ellis throughout the previous series, so he may have a much more difficult series ahead of him.

ADVANTAGE: Cavaliers

Iman Shumpert vs Alonzo Gee

Shumpert has proven to be an excellent defender over the past three seasons. Gee has taken a step forward this season scoring was, and had a decent series against the Bulls, but expect him to be a non-factor against the faster Shumpert.

ADVANTAGE: Knicks
Carmelo Anthony vs Derrick Favors

Anthony battled the flu throughout the Milwaukee series, but still was able to average over 20 points per game against their big men trio of Sanders, Udoh, and Ilyasova. Derrick Favors, who had only played one game in the month of April and missed the majority of the Chicago series, will be a tougher matchup for Melo, but this will be a fun battle to watch.

ADVANTAGE: Even

Nerlens Noel vs Pau Gasol

Gasol takes on a much younger and faster center in Rookie of the Year Noel. This will be another great match-up, but Noel's defensive skills may prove to be too much in the end.

ADVANTAGE: Knicks
Knicks Bench vs Cavaliers Bench

The Cavaliers won't have Alec Burks for this series, so their depth at guard will be thin. Overall, the Knicks use their bench much more than the Cavaliers do, with CJ Miles being the only Cavalier who really comes off the bench. JJ Redick is one of the most deadly three point shooters in the league for the Knicks, and Nikola Vucevic is a force on the interior. Look for Michael Snaer and Nolan Smith to also contribute.

ADVANTAGE: Knicks
