Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
Do you guys think EA should create a Teambuilder for NHL? As an avid team creator I would love that, as I make teams, and literally make a large percentage of their lineups w/ custom players, and an online team builder would fix that with ease... Opinions?15Yes0%13No0%2The poll is expired.

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
I don't know why anyone would vote no. You're either in favor of it, or you would just ignore it.
Like yourself, I would be a big fan. In NHL 10, I spent way too much time creating 30 NCAA teams, and running a full season with them. NHL 13 is the first game I've bought since that one, but can't find the energy to sit in front of my tv and do all of that again with a PS3 controller. -

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
It would be great. Especially now EASHL teams can make their own jerseys. Most of the jerseys I see in EASHL games are downright awful. Granted a lot has to do with people simply not knowing how to design a hockey jersey, but adding new options would go a long way.Comment

I wouldn't be against it, but I would rather see the ECHL and or Roster/Slider sharing added.Comment

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
I would be in favor of it for sure. I think if NCAA has it, then every EA sports title should be able to support it. I'd love it in Madden actually.
EA has a whole bunch of teams arleady in NHL which is nice. Sometimes I just enjoy playing with different, random teams.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

i cannot understand why EA wouldn't add this to the gameI would be in favor of it for sure. I think if NCAA has it, then every EA sports title should be able to support it. I'd love it in Madden actually.

or arena builds for that matter?
it seems that the community is really looking for this and as a result the devs could have more time to spend on gameplayComment

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
I vote no, not because I dont want one, but because I think they have a long way to go to fix the game thats already there, first. I want no new features until I can play EA's NHL hockey and actually feel like I'm playing hockey, much like FIFA and soccer.I don't know why anyone would vote no. At current, I dont feel like it's real hockey, rather a poorly simulated version of it.TB Lightning | Liverpool | Panathinaikos | Toronto FC

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
Yeah, but it's an awfully difficult sport to replicate in the form of a video game. Besides, if they were actually able to make it even close to reality, they would lose over half the consumer base. The base the figure skates, puck protects, and dekes their way down the ice and then trys the same shot every time. The same consumers that likely help EA rake in money in DLC, because they want the jump on everyone while playing EASHL.I vote no, not because I dont want one, but because I think they have a long way to go to fix the game thats already there, first. Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
I get what youre saying and agree - heck I'm fed up with ppl playing FIFA with full auto controls scoring stupid goals, and even I just bought TW13 and you c an "add spin after your shot" like golden tee ... drives me nuts how they cater to kids and people who cant learn the game.
Nevertheless, I have no doubt that one day, when the technology is a bit more advanced, perhaps even the next gen systems, we'll see a bigger divide in different gameplay modes. Youll see NHL in a more sim fashion, and the traditional arcade-style that we've become accustomed to.
I see what youre saying, but I still stand by my original comment.TB Lightning | Liverpool | Panathinaikos | Toronto FC

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
Put me 100% behind this since create-a-team is a flippin' joke.
For the 5th consecutive year there is no Worcester available for a city despite the fact there has been a team there for 7 years now. There's Zug but no Worcester are you kidding me?
The team names are also a joke you have something like Grasshoppers but no logo of a grasshopper....
If you want a vintage team then you have only a limited amount of choices despite having most of the vintage logos, Colorado Rockies. That's it. 1 freaking vintage team despite having the rights for all the names & logos. Everything else is either missing the city(Oakland) or the nickname(Nordiques), it's pathetic.Comment

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
I'd agree if this was an either/or question, but it isn't. It's simply asking if people would use this as a new feature. No one would disagree this game like many other EA titles needs work.I vote no, not because I dont want one, but because I think they have a long way to go to fix the game thats already there, first. Look at NCAA Football for instance. You could take out Team Builder, and still not make any different as they seem to do year to year.Comment

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
This I very much agree with, and would take one step further (sorta). Why can't they at least put the audio in for all the states/provinces rather than the random groups of cities they let you choose from? Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, etc.
As mentioned, I like to create college teams, but you can't have a North Dakota, Minnesota, or Michigan for a team name. Something like that just seems so extremely basic, I don't get it.Comment

Re: Should EA make a team builder for NHL?
You make a really good point, SiouxFan. I unfortunately feel so strongly that the core of this game needs to be fixed that I still vote no. A team builder would do little for me, but I see what youre saying.I'd agree if this was an either/or question, but it isn't. It's simply asking if people would use this as a new feature.
