Not sure how relevant this, but last year I got 2K12 for 39.99 in mid May from Amazon.

I never picked up 2K12 because it never dropped in price enough for me. $40 was just more than I wanted to pay. And I passed on 2K11 as well. I did buy 2K10 (and 2K8 and 2K7 before).

So I was thinking about picking up this game, it's been 3 years since I had a baseball game, but I really don't think what they did this year is worth $60. It's pretty pathetic they are asking that much for a game they did next to nothing on.

All those years people complained about sports games just being "roster updates" - well, it finally happened this year, and it really sucks.

So, I too will hold out hope the prices drops a lot and soon. I don't think 2K makes terrible baseball games - I think they are pretty fun - and having no PS3 I don't really have a choice - but what they did this year was pretty crappy, even if it wasn't all their fault.

Seems like we have really reached the breaking point with sports games - the leagues just want too much damn money, and their greed is really negatively affecting us as consumers.

If you are coming from 2K10, it might be worth it? I suppose it depends on how much you think you will play it?? If you are one of those guys that will be playing 162 games there may be value in the $60 range?

Haven't found a price lower than 60 unless it's used, but you could by the NBA2k13/MLB2k13 pack for 80, which has more value.

saw a used copy at gamestop already...smh...lol. i think it was like $54.99 or something like that. why didn't they just rent it from redbox???

Good question. Maybe they had enough store points to get it for free? Either way, I'm not surprised, but disappointed. It's not that bad of a game, it's just underwhelming.

Last year I was able to get my copy for $35 around mid-April. By the time opening day comes this game will start to see more price drops.

Ebay and Amazon are your best bets for the cheapest prices.

you can also go to www.slickdeals.net. They sometimes have great finds on video games.

I'm going to keep an eye on ebay and Amazon. I've got 2K11....didn't pick up '12, because the graphics in the demo actually looked worse than 2k11 to me. Now, since it's been a year, debating picking up 2k13, but would only do it if I can score it for $40.

My local ToysRus are giving a $10 gift certificate with the purchase of video games and had 2k13 showing. Not sure if you can turn around and use it for the purchase or not. Store is in SW Fla.

I hadn't picked up NBA 2K13 so I got the combo pack at Target. $79.99 plus tax, and I had a gift card that meant both games cost me under $35 total.

But I know a lot of people already have NBA 2K13 or wouldn't play it. I did the same thing last year and it worked great for me. Just my $0.02.
