Does anyone uses non-Playoff teams anymore if so what teams do you use?

I like using the Wizards.

The bucks are actually really easy and fun to use. They have a ton of great shooters.

Since acquiring Rudy Gay, the Raptors are very fun to use, and the Cavs and Blazers can be great teams too. I also use the Suns all the time, and when I really want a challenge if it's an association mode, I'll try to rebuild the Magic.

I like running with all these squads....especially my Cavs...Kyrie is a maestro...but hurt again....

Wizards and Kings are sneaky good....Bucks have killer backcourt and 3-PT bombers(Ersan, Reddick, Dunleavy)....even the Bobcats can be okay because of how overrated some of their guys are...like Tyrus Thomas.

But...you are right....the vast majority of guys just want to run with the Heat, OKC, Fakers, and Knicks....sometimes you see the Clips and Nuggets because of their insane CHEESE factor.

I don't know why some people are like this. Some of them are so obsessed with their RECORD that they are SCARED to use a lesser team. Like it matters....

Portland is my favorite team to use online but they have maybe the worst bench in the league. I am thinking about starting an association with them and acquiring a veteran or key role player or two to make a run in year 2 or 3.
I also like to use the Suns and Wizards. Making it a one man show with Wall or Beasley.

I use Philadelphia. They are much stronger with Bynum and Richardson(2 starters) in the lineup, but I still play with them online despite all the injuries. They have size and speed. Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner are hard to stop, Thadeus young can dunk on anyone, Nick Young is a beast off the bench, and Dorell Wright adds good perimeter shooting and rebounding. Currently, they seriously lack rebounding so my offense has to be precise to win.

As an association team (online or offline), keep their big 3 together (Holiday, turner, and Bynum) and they can play with anyone after a couple years.

This. I run with Portland also.Its such a pain when I'm down and I wanna sub my second team in to let my starters rest( Maynor has helped a little due to his passing skills).I'm am so tired of playing the heat and knicks.The funny thing the teams that give me the most trouble r the lakers and Celtics.

It takes me so long the find an opponent who wont pick the heat or knicks. I beat them alot but its just so boring playing against the same 2 teams all the time.

i use detroit when drummond isn't injured, actually i still use detroit cause its my home team, but im less ballsy against powerhouse teams now, without my shotblocker

I like to use Hornets, Hawks and the Trail Blazers.. I like Trail Blazers most though. With the addition of Eric Maynor you can make it rain when Lillard isn't out there. Also, Wesley Matthews is straight fire in 2K.

None other than Utah...

Despite a few underrated talents, they can dominate teams with their scoring. Mo is money, Jefferson is a beast, and Millsap kinda sucks on the game, but he can hit some jumpers.

The true problem with elite teams is superstars' ability to dunk in traffic. IRL, that is not what makes guys like Wade, LeBron, Kobe, and Durant good. They should be getting contact and excel at finishing layups in the paint, but this dunk in traffic stuff is ridiculous.

I use the Jazz online, they're a good 2k team. Tinsley feels fluid, and I've been using Hayward at backup point while MoWill has been out. Jefferson and Millsap are both bigs with jumpshots, and Marvin Williams has a nice 3 point shot, and can be used as a stretch four. Foye is my knockdown shooter. Burks can also run the backup point as well. Solid team.
