    Intentional Walk

Has anyone had issues with the intentional walk button while players are on base? There was a runner on 2nd with 1st open. I tried to intentionally walk Stanton and my pitcher kept stepping off the rubber. I had walked someone before so I know I was hitting the right button.

If you were "on" the rubber then you must have already selected a pitch?
Intentional Walk is L1 + Circle which you select before you come set.
If you come set and press L1, you will step off.

This happened to me a few games back. On the fourth attempt, I was able to successfully intentionally walk the hitter.

I haven't really attempted to see what could be triggering it, but just know that you are not seeing things. I've been wussy-footing around hitters in The Show for years, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't because I don't understand how the controls work.

Along the topic of intentional walks, has any had the CPU throw a pitch and then intentional walk? This has happened a few times now. Big boy comes up with 1st base open, and.....oh I guess they are going to pitch to me. Foul ball. Catcher stands and here's the intentional. Either very sneaky or very wired.
