Crazy Off Season trades in My Player?

So I've completed my first season with the Rockets on MyPlayer. Won the championship. I'm a 6'4 SF. And oddly enough the GM did not ask me about any trades. The team by the end of the season was:

    PG: Lin
    SG: Harden
    SF: Me
    PF: Patterson
    C: Asik

Now as soon as I started the new season. I'm seeing trades like CP3 to the Cavs, Igoudala to the Spurs. And Dwight Howard is now the starting center of our team. How? None of my teammates above got traded. Looking for answers from anyone who has played multiple seasons.

They weren't traded. They were free agents at the end of the first season so they could choose where they wanted to go(to teams with enough capspace).

Oh, that's right. It's still questionable that Paul would head to the Cavs when they have Kyrie Irving.

They were deffinetly signed as Free Agents.
CP3 to the cavs is quite normal in the 2k world, as unrealistic as it may seem.
I usually see Dwight sign back with the Magic, no logic in that at all.

Howard went to the Pistons & CP3 went to the Rockets in MyCareer.

Those moves are quite common in Association. I think they deal solely with who has the Cap Space. Although I've never seen Iggy to the Spurs, but I guess that's because I'm always using him myself.

On another note, the squad you have now is quite beastly with Dwight at Center.

You're right! While Asik was awesome with rebounds and putbacks, my team is now more explosive in the paint. Though, I wonder if this roster while stay this way after the year is over.

6'4" SF? Ouch I would hate to do that.

Dwight is such a troll. I had a myplayer on the pistons and we won the championship then i saw dwight on the roster next season. I told him this my team still.

Re: Crazy Off Season trades in My Player?

I'm playing as a Faceup C/PF on the Pistons who is about 6'9. Purposely picked them because I wanted to either play PF or back up Monroe for the first year or two.

Played some in Y1 because the team sucked, but finally got a shot to start Y2 now that they dumped Villanueva. In the offseason, I asked for Jonny Flynn and I think one other player, ended up with Flynn and then Iguodala as starting SF. He's been beasting it lately, so my player is averaging about 12-9-4 this year.

Knight and Stuckey are shooting and passing extremely well, Iguodala's locking it down on the perimeter, and then I'm either alongside Monroe or backing him up most games. Currently about 50 games into Y2 and the Pistons are a 3 seed (about 8 games back of the Heat of course).

There were some weird-*** signings/trades though...I'll post some of them shortly.

It was frustrating at first. Then I abused the step back jumper. And if it wasn't for the Deadshot(?) signature skill it would be impossible to shoot in a defender like Durant or Lebron's face.

@ESB32 He really is! He puts up some crazy numbers, which takes off some of the pressure off of me. Also, now my rebounds have dropped, lol. Does he always join the team that wins the championship (if they have cap space)?

In my first myCareer, Paul signed with the Pistons, Iguodala signed with the Clippers, and Howard signed with the Bucks. All made the teams significantly better, except Paul, surprisingly.

After the second year, Lebron went to Phoenix (which I had heard happens frequently in 2k13) and Carmelo signed with the Lakers, who I believe lost 60 plus games the prior year due to injuries to Gasol and Nash. Those were the major roster moves that I had seen.

I got disconnected from the internet during a game and instead of it asking if I wanted to switch to offline it just automatically kicked me from the game all together. I'm so mad right now and kind of don't feel like playing it now
