Last chance teams

What do you guys think a good team is that can win the Championship right now, but will need a rebuild immediately after? I am thinking Lakers but that is all I can think of.

Knicks, Celtics, and Spurs. Celtics and Spurs have some good young peices in: Jeff Green, Kawhi Leonard, Avery Bradley, etc. Good luck!

I considered the Knicks because they have the oldest roster in the NBA and from what I've read...lot of retirements after 2012...

You can either rebuild around Melo or ship him off and REALLY rebuild...

I ended up with the Bobcats tho...wanted something that would take at least a few years to turn around...

A win-now team?

Lakers, Celtics, Spurs, Knicks, and Heat.

Miami will have LeBron for a few more years, but he usually leaves on the game. It'd be pretty cool to revamp the Miami roster potentially with Bosh as the centerpiece of the team.

Did I say the Lakers and Jazz could win the championship? No, I did not.

I just think it's funny that you have so much confidence in a team that is playing just above .500 after the All-Star break in an incredibly weak Eastern Conference.

Actually, I take that back: LA has a better chance of winning the championship than New York does. NY lives and dies by the three, LA can dominate inside if they can figure out a way to get Gasol to coexist with Howard.

Lakers- Kobe and Nash are exiting leaving Dwight and aging Pau with. Needs more young talent.

Knicks- meh they still have time IMO

Celtics - KG , Pierce are leaving

Spurs- Tim is leaving.

Mavericks - well they aren't in contention but still

They still have an insane amount of talent, and if they can gel at the right time, they can be a sleeper team in the playoffs and potentially make a run.0

I don't see a run since they will play Thunder or Spurs in the first round. Unless you consider winning one home game a run lol

You act like a top seed can't ever be beaten. San Antonio lost to the Grizzlies, who were never really contenders, a few years back. Who's to say a team loaded with as much talent that the Lakers have can't knock off OKC/San Antonio?
