Wretched, putrid, horrible, awful, abominable, horrendous goaltending. Racine finally grabbing hold of the job and stopping the bleeding between the pipes is what turned things around.
It was especially annoying since there are, what, FIVE NHL draft picks on the blue line for this team.
Side note: the miserable goaltending to start the year was the result of last-second defections from Jack Campbell and John Gibson. If hockey recruiting had star rankings, both of them would've been five-stars, and Michigan lost both of them.Last edited by Psyblast; 03-23-2013, 05:57 PM.Comment

St. Cloud are huge UMass-Lowell fans right now. 1-0 lead in the Hockey East final with 3 minutes to go. This could be the last 3 minutes of Jack Parker's coaching career.

So SCSU squeaks in, last team in will be Yale or Michigan. I hope to hell Michigan loses tomorrow so we get Yale instead of Michigan.
I think we'd beat either team, but I'd rather play Yale in Grand Rapids than Michigan.

Conflicting reports right now. I know there was the tweet from the one insider saying that Trouba is planning on leaving too, but one of U-M's hockey guys spoke to him and said he got a strong impression that he's coming back for another year.
I imagine if the Jets want him to come out, he'll come out. I'm hoping they'll let him marinate in college for one more season.Comment
