MLB 2K13: Is anyone taking Opening Day roster adding minor league players / fake?

Just wondering if anyone is working on the opening day rosters?

The recent roster update Apr 02 is the roster file I am talking about. I know there has been some work to previous rosters.

Is there a list that can be used to do this?

Would like to start franchise with accurate players.

Someone should but all I can say is I'm really jealous of the show community right now with their osfm rosters those are very well done

If there is a list of fake names, I would be willing to make changes. We would need someone that knows the game and player attributes to create missing players.

I think it makes sense for us to organize something.

I think everyone in the 2k community is sort of lethargic about this year's game and rightfully so...2k put almost zero effort into it. It's fun and all but people are kinda meh about it.

I have a file on 2kshare for 2013 under mistro0524 that has 350 fake players renamed to the real players...but I didnt update their respective teams or anything. Lots of prospects there too.

It's an "okay" base file for what you are looking to do.

yea for the past few years mkharsh has been bearing the whole load of doing the rosters for this game. he's staying with mlb2k12 this year which is completely understandable so your best bet is to browse 2kshare for one and see the best you can find

Is there any way you can upload a list, to help me out with the names I can't figure out?
Or, maybe a list of the prospects?

What sites do you use to search for the players? Right now I'm searching by birthdate on Baseball Reference. But, some don't match up.

It's driving me nuts, that I can't figure them out.

I downloaded the 4/2 update, and started to go through it. I noticed some new fake names added to the MLB teams. Also noticed a couple of players removed.

So I guess after I post an updated list, after I finish going through every team.

I am sure the MLB 2K13 players would love to play their chise with that roster and it doesn't appear anyone else is working on it.

Naturally I am talking for the 360 platform... let's face it, if you own a PS3 you should be playing the Show!

I am working on a roster. I am using several websites and adding each organization's "top" prospects. So far I have finished the Tigers and I am half-way done with the Twins. I am working my way to the right in alphabetical order.

I'm not finding fake player names and just typing them in, though. Mostly because there are players that are no longer playing on teams they have no business being on. For example, Bengie Molina is on the Tigers under a fake name? I wonder if they just recycled ex-players and gave them fake names to save time. Anyways, I am creating the top prospects myself using an in-depth baseball stat site. It's Fangraphs, if anyone cares. The rest of the minor league teams, I am filling in with real player names, but not likely going to go too in-depth. I don't play minor league games in my franchise, so I don't really need that.

If anyone wants to help, just say so. If not, its going to be a long grind. I have a lot of things on my plate, so if you'd like to see it finished, don't expect anything relatively soon. I am open to share what I have so far, though.

I agree, I don't need all of the minor league players, just the top prospects works. I suspect the majority of players would agree, if my OCD can handle it... I am sure anyone can.

Guys - I've already renamed 350 + fake players to real players. Most are retired or just out of baseball, but some are in minor league camps are on major league rosters. There are prospects in that file too.

Again, it's under mistro0524 on 2kshare. I don't know why anyone would want to start from scratch when you have 20 hours of work already done for a starter roster.

I don't see the reason why Bengie Molina is in the Tigers' farm system when he is retired and was never signed by them. He hasn't played since 2010. It just makes me think that Take Two just took players from their previous games instead of making new fake players.
