Yes! Finally a good break down. If you're gonna talk about what you saw wrong at least let everybody know where you saw it. My coaches when they watched film and you did something wrong they didn't go like "that's bullcrap" and didn't show you the footage where you did something wrong. That was a good example of *constructive* criticism. Hey and at 1:50...yea...no deal lol.

Remember that this is still a WIP guys. With the infinity engine now in, does Weight actually matter for OL? Will height come into play for WR/CB interaction?Comment

Awesome! Some people didn't like the Infinity Engine, but I loved it. I played Madden 13 so much more than NCAA 13 cause of it last year. This year it looks like I'll be putting in a lot more NCAA time.BA BA BA BA

LoL I'm not mad at your opinion but where's the optimism. I felt the same way about the game but I think they can and will do better. I'm just going to be optimistic and not put to much into it.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Video - First Look at New Gameplay Engine
i wont draw too many conclusions off of 1 video.
however, being as i was finally able to break away from my addiction w/ ncaa13; i didnt see anything in this video that made me think i should be excited to buy ncaa14.
in fact after reading the 1st few pages of this thread b4 actually watching the video; i think its safe for me to say that i came away from the video feeling slightly disappointed.
i guess there's more than just the EA hype machine at work here. theres the fan hype machine as well it seems. fans 1. me - 0
to end on a positive note; its a long ways still til 7/9/13Through Holy Union God Lives Inside For Everyone

agreed, i thought the running still didn't look that impressive. Still saw sliding and other ugly things. This video didn't do much to impress me.Anybody feel free to "check" me but that video brought me back down to reality. Maybe this will look different from an actual game play view and I can see more of what's substantially changed but in that video I still thought I saw sliding/skipping, the runner generally covering too much ground at times. I think the inclusion of cuts mapped to left stick movement is good but is it just cosmetic, meaning the players still change direction too easily, gliding into space, just with a cut animation playing out. I hope someone understands what I am talking about and can maybe clarify what I might be missing here.Comment

We don't know yet. I hope they have. There is this bit from the EJ interview:
"That doesn't mean the game is overpowering to the offense though. Manuel said he felt the game was much smarter when it came to how defenders react to the ball and what you are doing, citing the DBs ability to jump routes as just one example of this improvement on the defensive end."I bleed Garnet and Gold. Re: NCAA Football 14 Video - First Look at New Gameplay Engine
It's better than it's ever been. But it's still not there. That several frame pause while animations interrupt and transition into new ones. It's just not doing it for me. I like the strides they're making. But...
Really hoping they built the next gen engine from the ground up to move and look even closer to the real deal. And there's very little body type differences going on. Too much samey looking players at certain positions.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Video - First Look at New Gameplay Engine
I don't see the sliding some are talkin' about. It looks pretty good to me. I will agree about the running animations though. They run a little awkward and stiff. They fix that and we're good."I BALL FOR REAL, YALL DUDES IS SAM BOWIE."

Re: NCAA Football 14 Video - First Look at New Gameplay Engine
If they can avoid something major, like the DB glitch, I'll get 400 plus hours from this game, great value for me. I already knew that I was buying it (Pre-ordered when I got Bioshock Infinite) and what we've learned so far hasn't made me regret doing so the slightest bit. Throw in the recruiting changes we heard a little about a while back, and the coaching skills stuff that's been hinted at, and I'll be good to go.
I know that I should avoid the forums when the game releases, but I won't. The meltdowns on this board are a form a grand entertainment in their own right.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Video - First Look at New Gameplay Engine
Eh...to me it looks like the gameplay strategy took a step back. I don't want the runners to stop and change direction on a dime. Stopping on a dime and multiple jukes to beat the defender just feels like it was an annoying feature last generation, so no thanks, I don't want to go back to that.Comment
