They couldn't of had too much time to work on the next-gen games if they have been working on these versions (unless they purposely held out on the current gen versions to make time for the next-gen versions.)

They need to take the extra time and really make the next-gen version amazing like it was in 2001. Wait til next year when the next-gen console customer base is bigger instead of being greedy wanting every little penny they can get. And if they did come out with the next-gen games this year, do you really think they will make it so good that people wouldn't want to buy the current version which they make the most money from now? probably not. So I don't see how coming out with the next-gen football games will benefit us in anyway.
I don't quite understand this sentiment, considering that even if they waited until next year to release EA football games for the new consoles, they would also still be releasing for these current consoles too. So I don't see that much difference in doing that now or later, either way more people will still likely have the current consoles than the newer ones.

I would rather they go ahead and launch EA football games with the new consoles so they can get the kinks worked out this year. There is only so much they can catch in house, releasing to the general public a lot more things can be discovered and pointed out. I don't mind being a guinea pig for EA football on new consoles, so I can finally get the chance to play different football games than this gen.

I would think they would put more effort towards the next-gen NCAA Football while slightly improving/putting less time and effort towards this current gen one while slowly making it obsolete in a few years. EA knows the bugs, they don't need us to test them out, unless its online. An extra year will give them time to fix more of them.

They still need to lay a solid foundation to transition into NG, don't you agree?

Looks like the lighting is more realistic and minimal jaggies. The game looks awesome. Cannot wait.

I guess that depends on the approach we presume they are taking. If they are using the current consoles as the primary focus and then porting that stuff over to new gen than I can get what you are saying. If on the other hand, at this point they are using the new consoles as the primary focus and adding however much of that into the current consoles they can than that's a different story. This is completely a layman's take because I have no knowledge of video game development but maybe what they learned from the last consoles switch was to set goals based on the new hardware and implement as much of that in the old hardware as possible instead of vice versa or trying to build two completely different versions.

From the info that was been trickling out since Cam Weber, Kolbe and others joined the EA football team, the new consoles seem to be a big focus, so I would think the ghost teams have been hard at work for these new consoles for some time now. Maybe I am setting myself up for disappointment but I expect that an EA football game for the new consoles even this year would be far and away more fleshed out than those on the current consoles. With things like a wrap up show, living sidelines/crowds, improved physics, etc, because I picture the current consoles games as being little brothers to the new consoles already, like NCAA has been to Madden this gen. Meaning tech and features that are slated as the future on the current consoles, being able to be added now for the new consoles.

I am betting they wait until October or November to even release core info about EA football on the new consoles, to not diminish hype for M25 on the current consoles. No way I can see myself purchasing an EA football game for these consoles before I see if they will be released for the new consoles and if so, what that looks like. With the way EA marketing works, I can see in Oct-Nov, the devs for the new consoles admitting how bad or lacking __ was compared to how it is on the new consoles, lol. Milk every dollar they can out of gamers for EA football games on the the current consoles, then turn around and tout EA football on the new consoles as a must have for this holiday season.

-whats the point of this "acceleration burst" if just using the left stick has you instantly accelerate anywhere anyways? Unless they're finally re-re-reimplementing (for realz this time guys!) momentum and acceleration?
                -running still looks goofy
-none of this will matter much if the line play is still messed up
-defense. It would be nice if it came out of hibernation for this game
-excited to see the Infinity engine make it to NCAA this year, hopefully worked out some of the bugs that were in Madden from last year.

NCAA may be a better game than Madden. However, I have not played the trash that EA gives us since McNabb was on the cover.

That looks better than previous years but I wont be getting any football games for my Xbox 360 this year. I am waiting for the new consoles.

EA puts out average to below average NCAA product(s) riddled with bugs (sometimes gamekilling bugs and/or freezing issues)and needing numerous patches.

EA deserves every bit of criticism/pessimism coming thier way and it will continue to be so until they prove them (and me) wrong. Seeing you attempt to intimidate someone over the internet gave me a chuckle though.
lol funny how you think ea cares about impressing YOU! mlb the show?? cuz they have a bunch of other titled franchises to juggle at the same time!? are you ********?EA makes soo many games that it would be impossible to spend an entire year creating a near perfect ncaa football game especially when they have madden which people are going to complain about as not being "perfect" coming out shortly after..whats funny is that you think all of your pissing and moaning you do here makes any difference to ea.HAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOL LMAO LMFAO RFLMAO RFLMFAO! dont...make...me...laugh... =)

yea cuz baseball isnt as hard to replicate in a game than football is! you obviously dont know that cuz your prolly a 300 lb computer wiz. baseball= hit a ball throw a ball, run in a straight line from base to base. ball is hit run to the indicator, wait for the guy to automatically catch the ball without you having to do anything to actually guide your glove to the ball. Now lets do football super difficult to replicate in a game! way more players for one! larger field, infinite routes and patterns! o-line and d line interaction! o-line interaction and quaterback, o-line interaction with alternate blitzing defensive players, wr and db interaction at the line, wr and db interaction on route, wr db interaction in the air going for ball, wr db interaction when tackling or breaking tackle....getting tired of making you look like an idiot so i will just say you still have the running backs, safeties, full backs etc etc etc!

baseball is much simpler and most of the plays you have guys on the field doing absolutely nothing so if you really think you can compare mlb the show to a football game like ncaa or madden than you really are the idiot i just made you out to be...smh

you have seen one video, game doesnt come out for another three months..way to jump to conclusions my friend. I on the other hand will buy it even if it was ncaa 13 titled 14 cuz its 60 bucks and 60 bucks doesnt affect me. luckily its not ncaa 13 its ncaa14 and its new and improved and by definition a game that is improved means it has something the previous one didnt and so far it has physics engine, nice looking foot planting, good trucking animations that looked real (except for the smaller rb running over the larger defender but im sure they will fix that as they still have THREE MONTHS to work on it) the stiff arm battle looked interactive.so im looking forward to a new football game to ENTERTAIN me for a bit...not let ruin my life cuz it doesnt live up to my high expectations...its safe to say i wont kill myself over a game.

I kind of have to agree with you on this one. I'm kind of beside myself with the excitement of a lot of you, when a few months ago it was nothing of the short. I understand everyone want's the game to be good-great, but I really see nothing different in this game other than the IE that was in madden.

I hope more comes from other videos, but nothing in this excited me at all. If you want realistic foot planting, copy madden 10. I still to this day don't understand why they don't copy that. This ice skating stuff just has to go.

And the excuse of it being on an old console system has got to go. There are wayyyy too many games on these consoles that have pushed their games to the limit and gotten way better out of it. Ncaa/Madden are probably 60-70% pushing it right now. They aren't near the max of what they can do. But hey that is my opinion, but that what it seems like.
