Player mugshot OSFM

I was under the impression that when SCEA released their roster update on opening day that the some players got their mugshots converted to a real portrait. For example, Vernon Wells, Travis Hafner, Ben Francisco all have their real life Yankees portrait added. I thought that this would be in effect with OSFM roster but they still have their computer generated portrait. Not a big deal, just wondering if I assumed wrong and the player portraits that are added are only added to the SCEA roster and will not show in other rosters.

They still have the generated pictures because OSFMv1 is based off of the original SCEA roster and not the updated one.
But to answer your question no it will not update your OSFM roster.
You will have to DL the next OSFM version for these changes to take effect.

And even still, those pictures only work on the menus and not in-game anyway. So it doesn't really effect much during the game.

Well thats not strictly true.
If he is playing as the Yanks then he has to stare at their generated face on that enormous screen.....

I downloaded a roster with those updates player photos,then loaded up OSFM and they carried over. But like the post about me said, they are only on the menus and not gameplay.

Well, that's what I meant. The pictures don't work in the game, so even waiting for the OFSM V2 for the updates is a waste if he's just waiting for the pictures, because the generated faces are just going to show up in the game on the jumbo screen.

Really...wow i was under the impression that when the player was updated then they would appear as their real face on the screens in game not just in the menus...Bit of a letdown that...

When will they add the photos for all the players SCEA just put in? Why wouldn't they do it with the update? Carter Capps and Stephen Pryor still don't have one.... Lets say I start my franchise without there photos and SCEA puts there photos In the next update. Would there photos load in my franchise?

I have a seperate roster from OSFM from the March 5th update and somehow all the players photos are updating such as Michael Bourn, Giambi, Elliott Johnson, Ronny Cedeno, Chris Carter all have updated portraits from the 3/5 SCEA roster update as a base.

What is weird is when the SCEA roster dropped this past monday, i saved it after it told me there was a roster update. Even though i didnt use the SCEA roster I proceeded to resume my franchise using the OSFM roster and sure enough Hafner, Wells, Francisco, Boesch all had their real life portraits as Yankees in the lineup screen. I didnt have time to play the game so I shut my system off. Yesterday I wanted to play some of my franchise and noticed that the portraits reverted back to the computer generated one in my franchise. I wonder why that is.

That is what I thought but I was connected online and signed in and still got the generated pictures for the players mentioned. Not a big deal but was just curious.

have we ever heard why the updated portraits don't appear in game? have we heard whether they ever will?
