Madden 25 cover vote fixed?
A while back I read that the player on the cover usually represents the new features. After reading the short little info about Madden 25 and the ball carrier features, does this make you believe the vote is fixed? 3 out of the 4 left in bracket are running backs. Unless Jerry Rice wins the vote, I'll be a little skeptic. It makes me not want to vote anymore honestly.

I believe it is fixed and the whole bracket is just to drum more casual interest.A while back I read that the player on the cover usually represents the new features. Re: Madden 25 cover vote fixed?
i mean guys, its EA. they care about as much about what the players of the game really want as the people on wall street care about how the average american family is doing. Its only a tactic to get people hyped up about the next game. Cause they need something to do it . Since their screenshot they put out was pretty clearly a photo from madden 13 , and if not , then madden 25 looks absolutely looks the same. The fact is we all gotta stop buying madden. its time to stop complaining and start boycotting. Yeah it will suck to not have an nfl game to play for a year or two, but if enough of us would stick to it, things would actually change. As long as we buying it, they have no reason to care. I expect madden 25 to be another classic copy n paste. maybe a few small tweeks from last one, but nothing big. Maybe something like all kinds of historic players u can "buy" for MUT but i doubt many if any of the AI issues , money plays , or glitches will be fixed or even addressed. its nothing new, its EA, ITS IN THA NAME.Comment

I don't think it is fixed completely. I do however believe that the players they choose and the design of the brackets are done with the intention to produce certain finalists.Comment

this makes the most sense so far.. its hard to believe its completely fixed even if all signs put towards that.Comment

Re: Madden 25 cover vote fixed?
I agree... Although Barry Sanders was amazing, you can't argue AP just put up the best season after his type of injury and looks like theres no stopping him ever.
But.. now that Jerry Rice is out of the running, it makes my original point even more valid.Comment

Re: Madden 25 cover vote fixed?
I'm not biased to the ye nor nay.. let the chips fall where they may. I just hope the Ball-carrier features are not postured by an over-exaggeration of poor tacklers (defenders fall like dominoes).
By the nature of the '1st look' pic, I am more concerned than elated.. to see Von Miller getting trounced on his back by *Arian Foster, does nothing to quiet my concerns.
I looked through some historical data on the BTK % and I was hard-pressed to find a single HB gain more than 15% broken tackles/touches.
Looking at the 2011 data, *Arian Foster managed 9.7%

That is a 1.9% broken tackle rate which tells me there is a very, very small chance that Arian Foster trucks Von Miller flat on his back..
This tells me that this it is only highly possible to achieve this outcome if you play the game on Rookie or Pro, which this first-look pic is probably, and hopefully captured from. It also tells me that Madden is still focusing more towards arcade realism versus simulaton realism because if stats dictated this, we should see Foster trucking a typical poor would-be defensive back in the open field.
Is it great for their buzz-factor to see Miller get flattend by Foster, ehh, maybe for the casual gamer who knows nothing of Miller's reputation as a beast tackler nor cares to appreciate it. Just goes to show how much they can get away with.. and will attempt to push the envelope further.

Re: Madden 25 cover vote fixed?
Yes I believe it's fixed, Peyton Hillis was fixed too, he was made a winner to throw us off and not make it obvious the cover voting is bogus.Comment

Re: Madden 25 cover vote fixed?
People always bring up Peyton Hillis as an example of it NOT being fixed, but yet him and Michael Vick were the ones to introduce the Cover Vote on ESPN/SportsNation, and they ended up being the finalists that year. So if anything that kinda adds to the idea that it is fixed.Comment

It's illegal to fix the vote, so I'd go with it not being fixed.Conference Realignment Guides: NCAA 12-14, College Football 25Comment
