I'm not buying it...also I agree that MLB comparison isn't the same, the MLB games at least already have a playoff, just added an extra wild card, not nearly as important as a new post season system

The game is called NCAA Football 14. It supposed to accurately simulate college foootball rules and games for 2014. Anything after 2014 they are not obligated to simulate. For example, we know that Notre Dame will play UMass on 9/26/15 but if you play NCAA 14, ND wont be playing UMASS on 9/26 because it doesnt implement future schedules. Same thing with the playoffs.

Actually the MLB thing was huge. Sony had a month to implement the changes and actually knew what the playoff structure was. They just chose not to add it because it was too late in its development cycle. Here we dont know how the teams will be chosen, when the games are going to be held, or where the semifinal games will be.

But who give a ****. Buy the game or dont buy it. This is just another case of unrealistic expectations by fans and people looking for a reason to complain.

anyone not getting NCAA 14 cause of this. I mean we are still in the BCS era this year for College Football. And nobody knows anything except for game location and that 4 teams will get. I don't understand why you thought there was going to be a playoff system in place when we are still in the BCS era for 2013. And once we know more details about the playoff system and how it works it will be in the game. Till then i will be picking up NCAA 14 and enjoying my dynasty. No one knows how the NCaA playoffs will work and EA NCAA team don't want to just put a made up playoff system in the game. Their representing the NCAA and want to make it realistic as possible so i knew we was not getting playoffs till NCaA 15. Not a big deal.

What boggles my mind is, people are so up in arms about them not adding a fake playoff system this year because they had one "15 years ago" ..

Now if the NCAA hadn't yet announced there new playoff system, these same people wouldn't be complaining about not having a fake one in the game.

Last year we didn't see these complaints, or the year before that, or the one before that. I really really really really dislike this game but, some of you are complaining just to complain.

If you think not having a fake playoff system will ruin your dynasty, don't buy the game. I'm not buying because it's not a very good game overall, but a fake playoff system not being in surely wouldn't hinder my decision.

NCAA is a very good Game series.

but the point is that anyone CAN schedule that game if they want to within dynasty. I don't understand the rush to defend EA here. Yes by no means is it a game breaker for me, but it's something the entire world new was coming not unlike all the conference changes.

They were able to patch in Fantasy Draft for M13, so hopefully they can patch-in a "fantasy" playoff option for NCAA 14, which is a reasonable request, imo.

Yep you would swear they worked for EA lol....and obviously if you don't play dynasty that much or just play a few on line games with buddies to past time you ain't gonna get what we are talking about

If you want to play dynasty a few years deep. I really don't see the reason to purchase 14, especially if you have 12 or 13, just wait to 15, why get mad at me because I'm not giving EA money this year?? lol

Ill just wait no biggie did the same with madden when they changed full control franchise

last year they gave you options to switch around conferences and create super conferences because of inevitable conference realignment

they can give us a fantasy playoff option. Its only 4 teams, rotated over 3 bowls.

Not too unrealistic an expectation when you consider, for example, that everyone can play as Old Dominion as a full fledged FBS member in this year's game when they won't even be a a full member of Conf USA until 2014. They will play as an FCS independent this upcoming season. They play four FBS teams this year I believe. Like I said earlier, I'm not mad, not raging at the heavens, and this isn't make or break for me. I do think that hopeful expectations are born from surprising things being added to the game already. Like, hey they put that in I can see them adding this thing in too.

Madden included the Houston Texans a year early, including the expansion draft.

When details are known a year ahead of time, it's not over the top to want it in the sports game.

I'm cool with your general opinion of it not being a big deal to you but the "unrealistic" part, no, it's not unrealistic. DorianP has already given some examples and I think another is the fact that in NCAA12? I think, they added the OPTION to customize conferences due to all the shifting that was going to happen in the real NCAA. So that's another recent precedent for giving Users an option in the game to tailor future dynasty seasons to mimic the ever changing real world NCAA Football.

Providing a playoff option is simply not an unrealistic request, considering that it is known that a playoff system is coming for the real NCAA Football next year.

It really doesn’t matter to me because it’s not like we know how it’s going to work for sure. By the time everything is in place we'll have NCAA 15 with the actually playoff format so why trip off something you don’t have all the details about? An option to use the BCS bowls are a playoff would be nice but it wouldn’t be accurate...

Honestly, we still don't know the official "realistic" way on how teams are going to be selected in the playoffs. It could be the top 4, it could not; or MAYBE its the top teams in each conference. We know the bowls that will be switching around for the semifinals, and we know the locations-- thats its.

Thinking on the level that EA develops games, it would require A LOT more work, for there just be one more BCS season, and then implement a new format- that we don't 100% know- for the rest of dynasty mode.

I'm just going to consider this a last chance to play in the BCS, before we start complaining on how the playoffs are in the next game.
