I like what I'm hearing in the podcast, but I'm wondering how our custom sounds will fit in with the new soundtrack. Unless I missed something they didn't mention it. Overall very good though and agree with above cant wait for July.Comment

So glad to hear they addressed the muted crowd. Don't know why they went with the new sound engine last year given the fact that they passed on the infinity engine because they wouldn't have had enough time to implement it properly....they should have waited on both. Nevertheless, I can't wait to hear how they improved on what Madden got last year.
Have to say that after hearing this podcast I'm moving towards getting this game in July but I'll have to see the results first.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Presentation Podcast w/ Christian McLeod, Cliff Notes Included (
A lot to like in the interview but a couple of things stood out to me. One was the phrase "chess match". I think it's safe to say that in the history of EA football games, I can't remember when I ever had a "chess match" against the CPU. Hopefully the play calling logic has been adjusted. Speaking of adjustments I can't ever recall playing a game against the CPU where the AI seemed dynamic to the point where I felt they made adjustments based on the flow of the game.
I really like when he mentioned that during Dynasty you don't want to have that feeling that yours is the only game being played. Feeling "connected" and not like you're in a silo goes a long way in adding to the immersion factor. The Madden devs could really do wonders by listening to this podcast because in (Dis)Connected Career Mode against the CPU I feel like I'm on an island and that there is nothing else going on in the league but my game. No updates, no score ticker, lousy and repetitive overlays, no dynamic commentary...kinda sad really.Comment

I doubt it. I'm still asking for them to get rid of the carpet and gap on the hill. After the team runs down the hill they remove the carpet and let the fans fill in the entire hill.Comment

I wonder if they are going to show the Top 25 overlay that shows the record and who they play that week and talk about it briefly. That would be cool. But im doubtful that they do it just like ESPN because they always fail to do so.Comment

This is pretty great. I just really hope they touch up on the uniform texture, shoulder pads, and sleeves
A big example is NC State. Their jerseys are super tight. Their shoulder pads are boxes instead of round like in NCAA. When NC State has sleeveless jerseys, their numbers are clearly seen and the sleeves aren't tucked in. The numbers or stripes don't role under in the sleeves like any other team who is represented by Under Armor, Nike, or Adidas. Their uniforms aren't shiny. Most uniforms for any teams aren't shiny. The shoulders of the pads do not rock back and forth when the arms are moving when running.
Just have the players actually look like football players with proper equipment fit. Some of the face masks are on point and there are some that are just like.. Really? Some of the bars are too thir and not fitted right for the face. Especially the face mask for the skills revolution. It's been the same for 3 years now. Can you not fix the little things?
The little things about the players stick out to YOUNG gamers. The young ones want to deck out their players with the same equipment as the players in life. Example : JOHNNY FOOTBALL MANZEL. he wears a sleeve under the base sleeves! That would be so cool to do in the game!! Just have more options to suit up your players.
That would make the game awesome is to have the players equipped and looking like ACTUAL COLLEGE PLAYERSComment

see. this is exactly what i'm talking about. i pay attention to all of the details mentioned here, including how the sleeves are screwed up in the game, and also how the revo 2-bar isn't in the game. if EA would pay as much attention to these equipment details as the "nba 2k team", this game would be so much better. This is pretty great. I just really hope they touch up on the uniform texture, shoulder pads, and sleeves

Can I assume since they added all of this new stuff they didn't have time to fix the sliders?Last edited by Sundown2600; 04-28-2013, 01:24 AM.Comment

I really don't get some of you people and wanting all these accessories and how if they aren't in the game, you aren't buying. I mean seriously? You are that nit-picky on an item like that, that is what prevents you from buying a game, I just don't understand the logic behind it. Would it be nice, sure, but it's not like I NEED it to play NCAA Football 14. I want a good presentation/gameplay before I care about having 452 new facemasks, shoes, armbands, fingernail polish, etc.
Anyways, to the podcast, I liked what I heard from Dynasty presentaions, dynamic loading screens, etc. I really hope the David Pollack/Rece Davis combo during the half-time show is always as free flow as it sounded in the trailer and not like last year's Davis intermissions which sounded robotic. The dynamic loading screens will be fun because it will get me in the mindset of what to do stop a certain player. (Please bring back Defensive Assignments, it helps with defense and stopping a certain player.)NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers
NBA: Indiana Pacers
MLB: Cleveland Indians
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers
NASCAR: Ryan Newman
One day, Purdue Men's Basketball and Football will become relevant again.Comment
