Are you talking about the real NFL video or the Madden video? Because I just watched the real NFL video and it's at about 6:1 on the amount of times the defender goes down with the guy he is hitting. The Madden video has about 4-5 clips of guys just blowing up the ball-carrier without hardly being affected which was fairly common in M13 as well.

To touch a positive part of the video - around 3:43 we see two consecutive dive tackles at the runners legs; I thought those tackles looked good, and earlier in the video it is mentioned that one of the new hit stick or tackle abilities would be the dive capability, which looks to target a runners legs, which I see as a true way of getting smaller DB's tackling bigger ball carriers realistically....
I hope I am seeing and understanding the feature correctly....Comment

I liked those too. I wish in the last one Polamalu would have held on down the Benson's body all the way down to his foot instead of flying off like he did but the two before that I really liked.

We've done that every year though, and usually 80% of what we see is what we get.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: Madden NFL 25 Video Interview with Some Early Gameplay Shown (GotGame)
Exactly, every year it's "Oh, it's early...wait until E3" which turns into "That was an early build, can't we at least wait until the demo is out before we judge?" which turns into "It was just a demo, I'm sure it will be cleaned up in the final version." Then the game releases and it's "Just wait for a patch until you give up on it," then the patch releases and it's "Welp, hopefully Madden ____ will be better."
Rinse and repeat, every year.Comment

On the flip side, I'm not getting worked up with 2 30 second trailers, we need more film.
Last year there was over 1 hour webcasts, this year we wait till E3, unles another 30 second trailer drops.Comment

That gameplay footage they were showing was exactly as it was in madden 13.

You're welcome to either wait as long as you want or not wait at all in the same manner that others can decide how they want to approach it.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Video Interview with Some Early Gameplay Shown (GotGame)
It's not so much of a concern for me as much as it is an annoyance. Big hits, for the most part, are just cosmetic with the exception of the fumbles caused by them but it's just something that I would like to be more organic than manufactured.
I'll definitely hold out until E3 to see what we're working with but I'm really torn on what I want to happen. On one hand, I want to see what Madden on next-gen has to offer. On the other hand, I don't want to see anything and have them work on next-gen Madden from now until next year's release.Comment

What ever happen to a good old fashion Mike Singletary hard hit with a wrap up tackle? Will that be in M25?

I wanna know if it will be in the NFL this year. Defenders have basically quit wrapping up. No reason for it to be in Madden if influx players don't use it.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Video Interview with Some Early Gameplay Shown (GotGame)
Exactly and every year people like you come here and say the same old "rinse and repeat" line. If you don't believe this game is improving or changing or even going to, then why are you still coming here? The kind of change people are wanting is most likely not coming until the next gen consoles but everything that Madden 25 on 360/PS3 does right, should encourage us for the future. I know some people just want Madden to fail, but the rest of us are just wanting to see some encouraging features and additions built upon each other year after year from now on. We are wanting a true shift in the minds of the Madden dev team to provide us the quality football game we have so anxiously been waiting for.Exactly, every year it's "Oh, it's early...wait until E3" which turns into "That was an early build, can't we at least wait until the demo is out before we judge?" which turns into "It was just a demo, I'm sure it will be cleaned up in the final version." Why would they let them add NFL Blitz style hits and not an actual form tackle?
Maybe the EA and the NFL could help our youth actually teach our youth a little bit about how to tackle rather than trying to go for a kill shot. It certainly doesn't seem like coaches do it nowadays. Maybe that would hep with concussions too. Win/win
