Did I say you can't talk about cleats? I said no cleats vs gameplay posts. Meaning, some people get mad about other people posting about how much they want new cleats thinking they don't care about gameplay. And the other way around. This isn't the thread for that. Its been happening in multiple threads.

I actually know that but that's from EA's blog about the up coming title. So when you quote Kenyon Barner as an example that's been around for years and you finally acknowledge this sentiment, you'd think they'd completely follow through.... Right?Comment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Blog - Sights and Sounds (New Camera Views Included)
The player size vs field size ratio changes depending on how far or close the cam is.
As the cam is pulled further back, the player size has to be adjusted (smaller) also, which in many ways expands the field within that camera view (not that they actually made the field bigger).
This may also account for why some of the write-ups have noted more fluid movements/play, as much of the gliding/shifting is removed/hidden at the angle and height of the view (we can't see).
The adjusted ratio will also allow movements/plays more space to run through vs being cut off (guys just standing there waiting).
I would say that this is what may be contributing to the "Fluid Play" that has been noted.
The view doesn't make every animation occur within a small box (close view).
Can't wait for the Demo to see for myself, but it's still a rent before buy for me.Comment

Very skeptical on how the zoom in feature of the coordinator/wide camera angle will work. This is essential to whether or not the camera will actually be able to be used in the game or just another great looking screenshot. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light.Comment

I don't think that the wide camera angle zooms in and I sure as hell hope that it doesn't.Favorite Teams:

Re: NCAA Football 14 Blog - Sights and Sounds (New Camera Views Included)
It just bothers me when they ignore something as if it doesn't exist and then boast about something related. So if you're going to have the Art Department spend time on getting new uniforms and accurate uniforms but then don't follow through all the way, it makes no sense.
So instead of this
We get this

We get this
If they are going to show off and brag about how the Art Department put in those gloves that form a logo when you put your hands together, why not improve something people will actually notice outside of a cutscene?Comment

Who else would buy a cleat package?
It severely pains me to say it but if the gameplay is as good as its potential this year, I would do it.Comment

For example, i know these uniforms are already in the game now but HYPOTHETICALLY, if we had to purchase these uniforms in the store, i'd expect those crazy looking cleats to be included as part of the uniform.

i don't know if cleats are something i'd pay for. A game like NBA 2k updates cleats without charging people (plus they allow you to create your own and edit colors). But if i'm buying a new uniform that in real life has a specific cleat that goes with that uniform, i'd expect those cleats to be included as part of the uniforms.

That's a great point, they didn't do this last year did they? With specific cleats?Comment

2K does it the right way, they don't make you pay for all of the new shoes they have available or anything like that. They do so much updating it's unreal. They do a heck of a job.
Back to the topic, that new wide camera view is awesome! You can see the whole field now. It'll be nice to see the depth of the safeties and linebackers for a change.Comment
