I'm no EA supporter, but can't really say I blame them on this one. The costs to develop/port for WiiU to great given the small owner base of the WiiU.

GOOD! ea can't even get the game right on the 360 and ps3. no need for them to "waste valuable time working on the WII version", when they cant even include current cleats and facemasks, the running still looks unrealistic, and the o-line play sucks.

I traded my ps3 in and got a wii u at launch. Because it got nab 2k and madden and figured ncaa football and so on.

I purchased every console ever made and the Wii was a horrible system. Add the Wii U to that list. I sold my Wii U two months later and got a 360.

Yea they went wrong way with the Wii U,..with PS4 n Xbox doing all they do now, Wii not a good choice, it's Great for Kids, but no support,..I think the big N would make a Killing if they just drop a system all together and bring all there 1st party games over to PS n MS...think bout it Play Madden, COD, and Mario all on the same console...They could not go Wrong...

EA recently laid off a bunch of people from their sports division in some type of restructuring.

This also might have something to do with no wii u version and no listing for the vita. It's only listed on xbox 360 and ps3 for retailers. (gamestop at least)

Hopefully it changes for those that want a VITA version. EA's site also only lists (so far) the PS3/360 versions.

I refused to buy my son a Wii U. I knew he would only play 3 games on it. not worth the investment.

I bought a Wii U, and my son plays it DAILY. He's 4. That said, I'm a bit shocked that EA made this decision.

My son left his wii alone when he got his own 360. It hasn't been used in ages. He's fifteen and I think he only wanted one for Mario, Pokemon and Zelda...when he's working he can buy novelties like a console for each franchise exclusive title...we aint rich . He's got a decent 360 collection of his own and a library of mine he can rent .

Absolutely. It's a [new] platform with a new controller input, so we'll do everything we can to deliver an experience that will take advantage of the hardware for that consumer.

Yep that plus no VITA news which leads me to believe either Nintendo/EA had a falling out or there is something really major with the EA/MS deal.
Really thought we'd see something about a VITA version by now.
Until we know for sure, everything is another rumor hunt.

To be fair to Mr. Weber and Tiburon, just about every third party publisher has had a falling out with the Wii U. Doesn't take away that quote, but circumstances since that interview (which I am pretty sure happened before or very shortly after the Wii U launch) have obviously changed and areas of focus have shifted.

One rumor I heard (On OS I think) was that EA wanted Nintendo to use ORIGIN for their digital services and Nintendo refused. Wonder if any truth to that...
(And I hate ORIGIN BTW)
