Same here. I like the Arian Foster one that had a little bit of give and take with the defender. I just hope that it works both ways where sometimes the defender wins and takes him down and sometimes he shoves him off.

I'm seeing too many big plays. Almost every run shown in the video is a big, highlight play.Last edited by TheTruth437; 05-02-2013, 06:53 PM.Comment

running mechanics still look awkward, but i'm loving the stiff arms, and it does now appear that you have free ability to run, which is what i've wanted for years.
i think i will pleasantly enjoy this feature as long as they do the stamina bar right, so that a running back can't do 30 spin moves and 5 stiff arms on one play.
THEN AGAIN, ....i just recall the marshawn lynch beast mode play and recall that it's possible, just not probable.

More on topic, game speed seemed really quick to me. Might just be because I'm used to NCAA at this point. Definitely better than the first trailer they showed, but still not quite there yet like others have said.Comment

That's the point. Wouldn't make sense to showcase the "Run-Free" feature and have every clip be of a back running 2 yard dives. That would be like the "Force-Impact" clips showing every defender missing tackles and getting steamrolled.Comment

Such a nice looking game in screen shots. In motion this game just looks AWFUL.

I think people have next gen expectations right now, you should know by now that a complete overhaul in player movement won't happen until then. You're only fooling yourself if you thought otherwise.Comment

Hopefully these animations can be toned down by the final release or else the defense is going to be in trouble. It won't even matter if you drop the game speed down, because it's a global effect. Ball-handlers are transitioning at WARP speed from Point A to Point Z in each animation and it just doesn't look organic at all.
It's better than the trailer I'll give you that, but the animations should be subject to the Infinity Engine as well in terms of physics. It seems like each running animation defies the engine's logic.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Video - Playbook: Run Free with Trey Wingo and Doug Martin
The foot planting definitely seems like an improvement over M13, probably about the best anyone could hope for at this point.
With that out the way, I 100% feel people about the ridiculous "lifted off feet" forearm shiver or whatever, from other videos, again showing up here. At around the 1:09-11 mark, Arian Foster lifts some defender off their feet. I decided to go on Youtube to look at the infamous "Marshawn Lynch Beastmode" run and that's probably where Tiburon got this ridiculous adaptation from. smh. The sad part is, in the Lynch run, the DB isn't lifted in the air but losses his balance and falls down.
I am so ready for the new consoles because at this point, a lot of what Tiburon does to recreate real football in Madden, reminds of that Cosby Show episode when Denise tried to make Theo a replica of a Gordon Gartrell shirt. LOL
