Where is the demonstration of the running back awareness maneuver there were no inside runs in this video...or they couldn't get run free to work inside the tackles even with the game on rookie and the stats juiced up?

I'm also starting to wonder why they haven't showcased any of the new blocking at all. There's no playbook for it and they haven't even seemed to touch on it yet. Hopefully we'll get that soon, I care more about that then the 'Run-Free' stuff.

Blocking does not appeal to EA's target market - the casuals. The "hard core" Madden gamer is gonna dive into E3 videos, previews, and every little tidbit they can find - the casuals just watch these "promos" and that is who EA feels they have "market" to...

I'm more disappointed with what's going on in the background. At least the running is more dynamic and human-like. Far from perfect but way better than anything I remember seeing from Madden. I see change.

The signature sticky, patty cake blocking quickly sapped any momentum. Until that's addressed, other things like disengaging from blocks and tackling will have to be minipulated to keep this from becoming the NFL Relays, especially with all these moves.

I did see some drive blocking on the Martin spin run. Is that new?

By the way, I think at the 1:08 mark the RB (Foster) actual uses the "avoidance" thing - it is quick and sort of obstructed, but it happens...

Let's hope so! Hell, I'm 39...I may be pushing 50 by the time EA gets it right. I may be suffering from cataracts and arthritis by then.

There's not one instance of patty cake blocking in that entire video, guys are arm locking and getting in each others pads. I just watched that video 4x in slow motion and strictly focused on the blocking. I also saw the ball carrier avoidance subtle as it was with Foster at 1:08 before I watched just for the blocking. The worst part of that video is the Demarco Murray run and when Ray Rice jukes and jumps, other than that there are a lot of nice things happening in that video.

I will wait for gameplay to judge.

I don't like the running animations, juke moves and to be honest none of it looks new...Looks like the same ole Madden to me...I won't be buying a new football game until I see something specifically developed for the Ps4 or Xbox 720.

LMBO I really don't think it will be that long. This new dev team has actually been making changes.

Anybody else catch that glitchy shift the blocker did in the background at 0:24?

Are they capable of accurately portraying "realistic" looking running annimations? Until I see it im not gonna just expect all the issues that have plagued this series for years to disappear like that just because its NEXT-GEN. They could still screw up next-gen just as easy as they screwed this-gen up
They will screw is up in the next-gen too but atleast you wont have to wait 8-9yrs for a new gen this time! I bet its only 3-5yrs on the next-gen and less than that on the next next-gen!! We are living in the best time possible! Life may never be as good as it is right now but its too bad we dont have a killer NFL football game to play??
