hahaha , that is funny and true big FN deal. i understand to alot of people in todays world the word principle means nothing to many anymore. However to some , the word still means alot. This is about the principle of this that is the issue. True its not the end of the world. I didnt see anyone say it was. People have a right to be upset when anything gets canceled at the last minute. Most people dont care for not having an advanced notice. The fact of the company its coming from ( and the extreme tiredness many people have had with them due to their lack of actions over the last 9 years is why this type of thing gets this type of reaction) . So try to understand the root problem alittle more . For if they produced a great game normally , people wouldnt have thought much about this. In a post above someone mentioned how GTA (Rockstar) didnt release info until they want to , and dont give advance notice just so this type of reaction dont happen. However there is a HUGE dif in GTA series and madden. GTA series , when it is released , is ALWAYS an awesome game. It does not dissapoint so many every single time its released. So really there is no real compairison there. Rockstar games rock , and dont let down, EA on the other hand.... well. let the vote speak for itself.
    Yup, i said it !

Ulitmately, it isn't a big deal but it seems pretty unprofessional to announce this schedule then wait until the very last minute to postpone it for no reason other than PR. If they wanted it all on the same day, why did they separate it in the first place?

Over everything people can stand on the soapbox about in regards to madden. People want to use stand on the soapbox about having to wait 2 weeks for CF info...........

I hope you guys understand how foolish that looks.

They didnt tell you at the last min that there wouldnt be a madden demo. They said that they now realized that it was stupid split up the info for CF.

I wonder what the tune would be if they instead decided that they would release all of the info 2day?......Since we both know what that tune would be that is why this "outrage" is stupid.

I personally find it hilarious that they did this. That they didnt see that it was incredibly stupid to split the dates up to begin with. When I first saw they backed out I LOLed in real life

My frustration is not with them pushing back this announcement. I was really not looking forward to this as much, because I was dissapointed with the gameplay improvements. The frustration is with exactly what Big F'n has mentioned. The constant let down year after year that EA Tiburon has given its most loyal fans.

Rockstar is not a good comparison at all. Everyone knows that Rockstar is going to deliver an absolutely phenomenal experience with GTA 5. The excitement comes from seeing just how phenomenal that experience will be. With EA, most people are just hoping they can get back to an enjoyable game experience. One that EA has not delivered in over 8 years. (Obviously some enjoy Madden in its current state, but its pretty obvious from forums and user commments everywhere that a majority are not)

Welcome to a fan base that is as frustrated as it is knowledgeable, as skeptical as it is optimistic.

Just once....instead of being disappointed, or given reasons/excuses why things weren't done/couldn't be done, or being told how much better it will be next year.....I'd like to be blown away. Not with every feature....not every year....just once in a while. Just wow me every now and then with how well something actually works. Please.

With that said, comparing the push back of a video and a blog to the multitude of issues Madden has had over the last few years is silly.

There is ZERO justification for flipping out over this even if you have been dissapointed with the game in the past. Its just a blog and its a blog that will be released in two weeks. This is just another case of the "I WANT IT NOW" culture we live in. I could understand if EA cancelled the blog entirely or decided not to release the blog until after release but two weeks.....come on.
So EA Tiburon announces they are revealing the first news of the new Connected Franchise for M25 on May 6th, then decides to wait until May 20th and anyone disappointed speaking out about it is "another case of the I WANT IT NOW culture"?, yet what I posted about this being another disappointment in a 9 year history of disappointments is silly? LOL

It is silly because your "another disappointment" is the equal of being a kid and not receiving your birthday present when you wake up but getting it after dinner. All that changed was when you got it.

Now the present (info/game) could suck. But it would have sucked equally in the morning (today) or after dinner (20th)

This is the last I will post about it but I don't understand the seeming compulsion to down play reasonable responses to things Tiburon chooses to do. Again, nobody on OS made up the date of May 6th, Tiburon set and RELEASED that date, so it's reasonable for anyone to be vocally disappointed about them changing it the day of. It also adds to a long 9 year list of other disappointments, it is what it is.

Internet would have been fun to see 30+ years ago between the announced waits between Star Wars movies.
I'm still playing NCAA 14 and Madden 25...and you know, it's alright.

LOL. Yes. I dont even agree with your "9 year history" statement but lets say for arguments sake, you are correct. One, why the **** would you still be disappointed if a company has disappointed you for 9 yrs straight? Two, the disappointments have always been game related (missing features, bugs etc.) not related to PR. If anything the one thing EA has down is the ability to advertise and hype a game up before release.

I read everyone person's post about how "this is about principle" and "how disappointed they are" as "WAAAAH! I WANT THE INFO NOW!!!" Like said before, I'm as interested as anyone to find out about CCM. Did I want the 1st part of the CCM blog today? Sure. Did I feel the need to lecture EA about disappointment and principle when I heard it was cancelled? No, because they had a reasonable excuse for it and its just two weeks.

I dont have to make my decision about buying the game until August so why do I give a **** if I dont get all the info I want on May 6?

No, the disappointment is equal to being promised continuously a Birthday present at a given time and of a certain quality and continuously waking up on your big day to find the gift missing...

To continue this metaphor, insanity is continuing to expect a birthday present and not moving on with one's life with recalibrated expectations.

LOL, this really is my last time posting about it but WTF?

If that "kid" was told they would get their present that morning but then told a few hours before they had to wait until that night and their last 9 birthday presents were shotty at best, then yeah, I think that kid has every right to be disappointed. FYI, the kid is NOT the one at fault in that analogy.
