Next-gen, if it proves to be as good of a game as I think (and hope) it could be. Reason is because I gave up on madden on this gen years ago.

If I do get this game, it will be for next-gen only (PS4). They have made some great improvements in Madden 25 current gen but the running animations are still bad and no improvements to the passing game so I can't do it. Hoping these will be fixed on the next-gen consoles so I am anxiously awaiting June 10th!

What if Madden 25 on the next-gen consoles come out to be amazing, way better than the current gen with extra presentation features not available in the current gen version?

Even if it turns out to be amazing im not shelling out probably 500 dollars for a new console just for some extra presentation features. If anything im waiting atleast a year after release to get a next gen console, neither of the two have impressed me thus far....sadly the Wii U is looking mighty fine right now lmao

Maybe? But if it delivers a different experience with the advancements that they say will be made, it will be worth it in my book.

I have to buy Madden the day it comes out just like every year because I'm addicted to the NFL and Madden. So I wouldn't be able to just simply wait until the next gen consoles come out.

And then when the next gen consoles are released, I wouldn't be able to just play my Madden game on 360 knowing the one on next gen has a new cool engine to try out and who knows what else upgrades from current gen. (Dynamic sidelines, 3d crowds, better a.i.?)....

At this point who knows what or how much of an upgrade it will be, but unless it comes out and publicly states it's similar to '06 as far as features are concerned, I once again am addicted and would not be able to hold out for long when I had access to a store and could get it......

I'm weak :/

That's the biggest question but we all know people like me who play Madden will get it from the jump anyway.

The 1st Madden for the PS2 was a shell of a game from the PS1 version.

The 1st Madden for the PS3 was just the basics. PS2 version that year was loaded.

We are now just getting Madden on the PS3 & 360 were we want the game to be.

Now all of a sudden they are going to have all of the features for PS3/360 in the 1st title for PS4/X-ONE.

I'll have to see and hear that...............I expect a shell of a game with the NEW engine being the big P.R. push for the game. My opinion!

Maybe a year 2 purchase IF & when I pick up a new console.

I would strongly disagree with anyone saying buying both is a waste. Chances are, anyone who buys both will get enjoyment out of both.

For one, you figure the last Madden of this cycle will be the most advanced. Secondly, I always look back as the first game in a new cycle as somewhat exciting. It's probably the closest thing to Christmas a gamer in his/her mid-to-late 20s or 30s can get.
