Coaches progressing is bizarre and unrealistic? It's the furthest thing from it, in my opinion. Your head coach at Tulane isn't going to be as good at what he does as say Nick Saban. Nick Saban wasn't as good of a coach when he was at Michigan State as he was at LSU or is at Alabama. Parity in the abilities of coaches and coordinators exists in college football, and now it exists in NCAA 14.

Saban didn't have 5 star players at every position at Michigan state. Do you seriously think every coach is exponentially better than they were 10 years ago? Because that's what this system does. It turns every coach into a world of Warcraft character. They don't get better at coaching as they win games. They get promoted to better schools and positions by winning games, which is what the coaching carousel was/is.

Indirectly that should be the case. In theory, a coordinator who boosts the THP and THA of a quarterback should mean increased on-field performance by the QB, which results in better stats, which results in a higher rating for the dynamic passing pitch (can't remember what it's called). This should result in more initial interest from QB recruits at the beginning of a season and more bonus points as you recruit them.

So you think there is no progression at all when it comes to coaching? You really think experience accounts for nothing, and that winning doesn't result in a coach getting better by allowing them to discover what works and what doesn't and using that to improve their ability to recruit and manage a game? You don't think players don't respond better to motivation from a coach with experience and a history of success than a coach without these things? Because those are the kinds of things this system is meant to simulate.

I highly doubt Saban was as good as a coach at MSU as he is now...you learn so much from being a coach. I teach, I am not the same teacher now as then when I started....even if my kids get better or worse, I still do and explain things better now than when I started...coaching is the same way...Yes Saban was a good coach at MSU, but you place that Saban in the Saban of today's shoes and he may only have 1 or 2 titles at Bama instead of 3. You grow and learn things as a coach, you tweak and improve.

One thing mentioned in the podcast not mentioned in this video to make recruiting more realistic:

If your school doesn't at least match a recruits standard for a given recruiting pitch(academics for example), the players won't even consider going to that school. Therefore only schools that match or exceed the minimum will be able to pursue that player.

Pretty sick, should make recruiting more challenging when playing with a small school.

Has it ever been explained by anyone "in the know" why there is only 12 Users allowed in a OD but 32 for Madden OF?

Not that i know of. I'm hoping we can get some closer as to why, but I'm not holding my breath.

One of these days I'd like them to add a filter to search for JUCO's. Would be helpful for coaching a small school living off these types of recruits.

It's not simulating that at all. It's saying every coach gets better over time. There's no regressing at all. How can you possibly say that this feature not being completely bizarre and unrealistic? Coaches do not get THAT much better, this is clearly making the game a wacky rpg

Get off Saban, how about the other 123 coaches? Are they all way better than 10 years ago? This system is going to make every coach get better not just the ones winning national championships. It's ridiculous and I think they need to start releasing different games, one for arcade gamers and one for sim gamers. I hate having to play around wacky arcade features to get some realism.

Meh. Not that impressed. Not a huge fan of the whole XP system. Makes it feel like less of a sports game. Glad the recruiting was changed. Kinda bummed there wasn't anything else new.

Let's just say it's a good thing I have good friends that make my online dynasty experience fun and competitive because playing this game by yourself isn't addicting or much fun at all.

I'm just ready for the PS4 to get here with the whole "watch your friends play the games they are playing", for NCAA Football 15 I can watch my friends play their online dynasty games, like a big conference championship game.

Not sure what to think about the recruiting.

On one hand they did seem to make it way faster so it feels like less of chore

On the other they seem to have dumbed it way down. Like "Here's 500 points, Goodbye"

Maybe it will be good though I look forward to it.

Oh an do the coaches give boost to your teams stats during games?
