All I'm saying is that the EA guy was in here earlier today and already said these were the two big additions, and anything else that came out would be small. So you're waiting for a ship that isn't coming.

yea and with EA's track record we really didn't even need him to confirm that because we already knew. That's why I laugh at the "patience" or "wait & see" or "give them time" posts as if we haven't seen the same song & dance before.

This feels a lot like EA not caring much about this game because they are looking ahead to NCAA Next Gen. Kinda like when a first place team plays a last place team and doesn't care because they are looking ahead to their next game against the second place team.

Figure I'll post it in this thread since the mods closed the other thread...

Nothing is stopping me from having my own gameplan but it is not implemented into a way which adds anything to dynasty. Despite what the NCAA team seems to believe, coaches do other things than recruit players. implementing a gameplan, how you plan to attack offensively, defensively, whatever they wanted to do with it, where you are rewarded for following the gameplan or you have to adjust your gameplan with halftime adjustments, something different. Same with practices/mini drills and how the player progression can be incorporated.

It's something different than just changing the look of recruiting and say, "well once again this year we have all new recruiting."

3 out of the last 4 years (and that's with me only checking back that far) they've been touting "New" or "Improved" recruiting as the big Dynasty improvement. Last year it was Recruiting. Phone system, make pitches, scouting system, etc. Year before that it was Coaching Carousel/Conference Realignment. Year before that it was Recruiting & dynasty wire & web based recruiting. Year before that it was New phone call Recruiting system.

Don't understand how 3 out of the past 4 years they can pitch Recruiting as the focus of change/improvement in Dynasty mode and people are ok with that.

It's not the improvement that will change my overall opinion on Dynasty but they should be changes that will be fun to play with for a little bit. It's def not the overhaul that fixes recruiting or coaching though.

I don't feel like going into what could have been done because it'll never matter.

Was anyone else annoyed by that sound effect that played each time you clicked a button? Jesus. Maybe it's because I listened to this on headphones but that "chink chink chink" sound was annoying the heck out of me. If that will be in the game I'll def turn off menu sound effects.

After seeing the updates to this game I'm sure I'll do exactly what I did last year. Buy used. Get my college football fix and trade in towards NBA 2k...or maybe GTA.

After seeing the updates to this game I'm sure I'll do exactly what I did last year. Buy used. Get my college football fix and trade in towards NBA 2k...or maybe GTA.

I'm curious as to how i'll be able to hold off this year. NCAA Football was ALWAYS my #1 game. Played it all year round even though i'd buy basketball and baseball games, i'd always go back to NCAA Football. I stopped buying Madden about 4-5 years ago, haven't missed it much. Last year was the first year I skipped NCAA Football. Didn't miss it.

But the last 8 years i've also been coaching football so my time in the fall was always filled with something to distract me. This year is going to be my first in a while not coaching because I just don't have time because of my job. So now I won't be as tired and ready to go to bed when I get home at night and i'll be looking to play something so I think I'll be going back to Madden to get my football fix.

I can tell you were being sarcastic, but Madden 07 did this with Superstar mode. It's not out of the picture with EA.

Right, that, and the fact that they hyped it up as "all new" I feel like they may have just a little something else for us... again, I dont know, I dony have insider information. Just a hunch, I suppose.

Perhaps. It kind of defeats the purpose of having an official release date for info, not actually releasing all of the info for that playbook on that day, but we will see.

I actually like some of the recruiting updates (I can't really call it new recruiting). The hype surrounding the dynasty reveal this year and my own, likely inflated, expectations had me looking for more.

Here's hoping I guess.

I'm so pumped about the new recruiting. I hated the old recruiting system. It took far too long. I just want to be able to play the games.
