So signing day is actually relevant? Commits cannot sign until the off season and there will be decommits?

Seriously, it doesn't frustrate you as much as it does me that there is such an innovative and great feature out there like Team Builder and they won't take the time to add some new designs to the uniforms, allow us to choose which shoe company we want associated with our teams, and basically everything else the people have listed on their wishlists? Teambuilder has so much potential and it's gotten minimal attention.

I think recruits can sign whenever they want. I am basing this on the "Insta-commit" perk you can unlock as an experienced coach. So I suppose you could offer a scholly in week 3, and if you are first on the recruits list, he may sign with you.Comment

If I remember correctly, there will be more recruiting battles that last until signing day assuming one or more schools stays within a certain distance of the number 1 school. The offseason for recruiting will be two weeks: one where you will have a ton of points to allocate to any number of remaining recruits, and signing day, where you see where uncommitted recruits ended up. I don't think you can get decommits, but I'm not 100%.Comment

THAT'S THE MOST FRUSTRATING PART!

I love teambuilder, dont get me wrong. But I think they are going by the approach that it is NCAA football, not create a custom football league (I wish it was at least an option). But using us as a small example, it would be hard to target a specific area of teambuilder to address. For example, I would like an entire league of Teambuilder teams, I dont really care much about specific makers or any of that. Where as you do want specific makers and may not care if you can put 126 (whatever) teams in the game. Also, there are a lot of people who dont give a flying yahoo about teambuilder. While a little addidional attention would have been nice, I can see why they would rather spend all their resources on improving** the core game.

This dude signed 21 kids, but only 2 before week 10. In '13, he probably would've signed 16 of them before week 10.Attached FilesFavorite Teams:
College #1: Michigan Wolverines
College #2: Michigan State Spartans (my alma mater)
College #3: North Carolina Tar Heels

They can commit any time, but it looks like they'll commit much later than in years past. Granted this is a sample size of 1, but look at the picture below:

Do we know if we can still recruit committed players? If a player commits to Ohio State can we still recruit them hoping to sway them? This type of stuff happens in real life, just because a verbal is given doesn't mean they stick with it.
Along with that, do computer controlled coaches get fired and if so do recruits de-commit if a coach is fired? One of the kids I coached in high school had committed to Auburn before the season but once Gene Chizik got fired he de-committed and opened his recruiting back up, visited FSU, UF, RU & LSU and ultimately signed his letter of intent to LSU.
Hopefully these are in the game.Comment

I'm playing 2K right now and I have about 7 created teams in my association half of them show up only as "City" at various points in the game. Some of them are actual NBA cities/team names and all are simple team names yet the announcers can only call all seven of them "home" or "away"
To minimize the updates to the feature is flat out wrong in my opinion for me the text box and team color last year in particular were huge and improved the overall teambuilder experience which is all that matters. whatever you want to call them updates/fixes/tweeks/changes again the point remains it gets more way more of them than any other game.
Nobody wants teambuilder 2.0 more than i do, but the little technical knowledge I have tells me most of the things on that list will have to wait for next gen at least maybe next, next?Comment

don't know what we're arguing over, we both agree Teambuilder was a great thing. My only point was how EA loves to add new things and then hardly improve on them.Comment

Well that's really dissapointing. Kids can't sign until signing day and its huge day in college sports. Kindve like madden if they didnt have the draft. They need a preseason recruiting session that's when half the class verbally commits anywayComment
