Re: NCAA Football 14 Trailer - Dynasty Mode, 52 Screenshots Added
No I don't agree with that at all teambuilder is still a great thing. and my only point was to get you stop saying that it hasn't seen any updates over and over in this and many other threads. I understand that the updates haven't been to your exact liking, but that doesn't mean they haven't been significant to me and others. they don't make the game for just you to play. And again all developers "love" to do that no feature has been more universally dismissed across all sports titles than create a team. The few games that have it are done poorly and never and I really mean never touched. The changes EA has made to TB comparatively are staggering quite frankly.Last edited by moylan1234; 05-30-2013, 06:42 AM.Comment

Yeah that's how it normally works with signing day the day commits sign and also decommit. Signing day won't be relevant in this game until real life recruiting aspects are in it.Comment

Page 1, nothing new
Page 2, allow you to remove the background right on the site
Page 3, added the high school stadiums they put in the game

Page 5, added a text box/logo on chest and update real college uniforms
Page 6, added a couple mascots

from a thread in the Teambuilder subforum where someone asks if there has been any changes from 10-13 this was a response...
The biggest difference between teambuilder through the years are the updates to the real stadiums and uniforms as well as adding in more mascots. Other than that, there have been really 2 upgrades to the creation side.
-2011: Introduced spots for logos on the upper chest area of jersey as well as Chest Text
-2013: New HS stadium varieties
So we don't have a teambuilder impressions thread this year, but despite their being no changes or upgrades to the site itself I felt it was important to note that not everything is actually the same in teambuilder land this year. Here's a couple of things I've found after playing all day with teambuilder schools:
-HS stadiums: there are specific sections or signs in certain HS stadiums that will reflect your teams colors. So far I've seen in the Southeast Large stadium the awning reflecting both my teams primary and secondary colors. Also, in the Northeast Large the scoreboard as well as all the signs hanging around the stadium will be in your colors so it's important to have a different primary and secondary for any team you have playing there other wise the signs hanging just look like bed sheets left out to dry
-Updates and bottom line: TB squads are fully compatible as I've seen them in both. If a TB team is listed for an upcoming game their logo is also present.
-White Helmets: The problem with white helmets being too dark in night games is gone.
-Team color accessories: Once in dynasty you can now assign your players primary team color everything including vapor and superbad gloves
On the negative side one bug that's already been spotted is helmet numbers not showing up again, but since this has been a patchable fix before I think it should be again. Also, I haven't played far enough to see if the rivalry glitch still exists so I'm not sure about that, however it feels like they've put a ton of time into recruiting so I suspect that was fixed as well.
So even though we didn't get any new options on the site we still got a few nice upgrades and even if some of them are just fixes everything I listed already has me much more pumped to play with my teams compared to last year.
Ya I'm pretty disappointed that they likely didnt do anything with it and really havent since the '10...however text on the front of jerseys was HUGE!!!
I get the feeling and I have the hope that they see and hear our cries, and next year will have a huge TB upgrade.
Now we just gotta get Madden to add it.Obviously nothing big is being done this year to TB, but from all the Q&A's and interview's, people want to see a change and more improvements made, almost at the same level as gameplay, it should be one of the top things on their list next year. Again I'm not defending them, I've just come to terms with it.It is evident that the NCAA team feels full customization is the big deal, see things like Custom Playbooks and Custom Conferences being added to the game. It is likely these features will be even further expanded in the future. With that sort of direction, it makes little sense why Teambuilder, as one of the most useful and integral parts of that full customization experience, has seen almost zero attention since it was originally released back in '09.
Regardless of any excuses one wishes to make on behalf of the developers, it is simply a shame why even minor fixes or additions haven't been completed, and it further frustrates the gamer when they, the developers, won't even discuss why or why not. At this point all I would like to hear is simply whether they plan to work on it within the next dev. cycle.
I'm not going back & forth with you on this anymore because i'm not wrong that there have been very few changes to the Teambuilder site since it's inception.Last edited by JerseySuave4; 05-30-2013, 10:44 AM.Comment

an update to the feature is an update to the feature just because you want to separate the two in order to further an argument doesn't it make so. and this isn't a back and forth at all because my only point again was moving you off of your original stance that teambuilder has seen zero updates which I've clearly done as even your willing to admit now that it's had a few and thanks for finding my old thread that once again proves that point.
And the much larger point remains that even just those few updates are way more than other games get in this department so again when looking at the immediate improvements this series needs an overhaul to teambuilder or even significant improvements to it is far down the list in my opinion and that comes from someone who wouldn't even own the game if teambuilder didn't exist.Comment

Without reading previous posts, I think the problem is that someone thinks the only problem in the game is that there aren't new cleats.--

Ah. So i mention i like what I'm hearing so far and now I'm naive. Sweet. I hate you ****ing one time only posters that disappear once the game is released to only come back next year during pre release to vent again. Miss me with that. Search through the forum and youll see i have many issues with NCAA but SURPRISE! They're doing things to make the game better. Please continue to tell me I'm naive though because i don't fall into your precious hate crew.

Not sure I like the "point" system of recruiting. The phone call system was okay only because it attempted to reflect reality. The point system is a dumbed down version for recruiting, however, that seems to be the way video games, in general, are moving so I'm not really surprised.Comment
