Just because they write something in a blog or mention something over twitter or even via a video, does not mean that what you are hearing is the truth.

I have seen it first hand and already seen it occur for Madden 25.

It's not pretty and I don't love that it happens but there is nothing I could nor can I do now about it, at this point as far as Madden goes you are going to have to see everything with your own eyes to make a real judgment because I can promise that you absolutely can not expect the information you are given to necessarily be true.

They do not have to prove anything to you either, so it just tough cookies when it comes to this matter.

Agree 100%...Then you get those live interviews where company employees give the fun PR responses such as, "We looked into that," or "We addressed the issue," etc etc - leaving the listener to formulate their own answer in hope that the listener will believe in their head that what they heard was that key things the hop to be fixed were fixed...

I think they teach courses on PR vagueness at the University level...

What have they said about Madden 25 that wasn't true?

I'm getting the impression that if you haven't enjoyed Madden the last few years, Madden 25 on current gen won't be the game for you either. I don't think M25 (again on current gen) is going to turn pessimists into believers.

Even w/ the footplanting that's been touted -- let's examine what we know: there's an Infinity engine coming that controls agility, locomotion, etc for next gen. So do you really think Tiburon poured a lot of resources into this year's footplanting knowing the technology was already in place for next gen?

I expect improved footplanting, but hardly overhauled. Ditto blocking. So for those reasons, I don't think what we see for current gen next wk is going to look largely different than we've been accustomed to the last few years.

Remember in Madden 13 that the dev team said they had been working with Nike for months prior to get all of the uniform stuff correct?

              This was false.

As for Madden 25, they did not work with Nike to make the uniforms for relocated teams. This is just not a true statement.

I like the gaming industry a lot and feel pretty burned about the past but I don't want people to sit there and believe flat out lies.

That said I will not ruin my reputation or chances elsewhere in the industry by explaining more or just ripping on the company I worked for because there are a lot of good things I did get to do while I was there and there are good people in that company that do want to make the game better.

Obviously need to play M25 but I am thinking that this new improved ball carrier foot planting is stuff already in the game; they just set new triggers for the animations so you plant like doing a side step instead of swerving...No physics engine needed....

Also, the ball carrier avoidance move to sort of jump or step back as someone is coming from the side, I believe as a runner you could do that in M12 or maybe M10 or 11; you just had to pull down on the right analog stick..Didn't seem to work well as far as I can recall....

This seems to echo AJ/Adembroski's comment on Twitter about "you guys are lied to so much", appreciate the candor Kane. It just seems so pointless for them to bs anyone because those of us that are paying attention see things don't add up in-game and those who aren't, don't really care what's said anyway.

I look forward to the day I don't have to deal with EA Tiburon to play a NFL football game. They have somehow managed to turn football gaming, which I have enjoyed immensely since "10 yard Fight" at the arcade, into politics. Wish we could vote about it, lol.

The contextual awareness is where they put their hand on their teammates back, that was not in previous games.

Yes I understand they are two different things. But if they are leaving that much disc soace free, they are under utilizing disc space.

You can play that Madden has this and NBA 2k has this all day. For example, NBA 2k has player movement that mimics real life players (madden has QB throwing Animations somewhere in there --most times they dont trigger), NBA 2k has more realistic benches and crowds, more dialogue, sweat on their faces, etc.

Both companies have allocated reesources to where they see fit. I am just saying it looks like EA doesn't utilize all of its disc space. COuld EA use that space for more commentary, more cut scenes, more banners, or other presentation elements sure. Could they use it to add more running animations, catch animations, etc - I am not a programmer, but I am guessing yes.

As Rgiles said (probably the best argument) Disc Space or RAM have nothing to do with the bugs in the game. Whether it be gameplay, CPU AI, presentation, commentary, etc.

I mean in no disrespect to you JP. I am gald your optimistic about Madden. I am too every year. I buy it, I play it most of the year (Dont play much during the winter--I am pretty busy then)

I just accept it is what it is and I accept it. To me its a video game. I see its negatives, but I enjoy playing football. Heck I still play Tecmo Super Bowl and I am pretty sure the foot planting, cut scenes, oL interaction is awful...But the game is all sorts of fun

If you were expecting to come into this thread and read about presentation details, I feel bad for you son. Because there's 99 topics and presentation doesn't seem to be one.

Was in Madden 11, and for that matter I am pretty sure it was in 12 too.

I respect your optimism each year JP -- but on the other hand, you don't seem to respect pessimism to the same level. You'd like for everyone to be excited just as you are, but many of us didn't enjoy M13 to the degree you did. How could we share in your level of excitement?

The answer is we can't -- many of us were burned last year and want to SEE the improvement first. What's wrong with that?
