I'm good with that, too. Didn't Madden 13 have different announce teams? I actually miss how older games used to have no announcers for any game unless you were on at least a regional game.

Re: LHN, SECN, ABC, ESPN2, ESPNU branding...
Since they already have ESPN, couldn't they at least tack on ESPN2 and ESPNU presentation? I imagine it wouldn't take a lot for EA to add those two networks on to whatever deal they have with ESPN.Football: Denver Broncos

With as much as people bitch and moan because the replays aren't from the correct camera angle and the score banner has an EA sticker on it and there's not the same broadcast camera as you see on ESPN, that small, very vocal minority would riot if EA had fictional broadcasters.I would almost rather they invent fictional networks for different tiers of programming than continue an exclusive relationship with Disney. Having Brad Nessler call Ball State-Western Michigan is pretty immersion-killing. It's wishful thinking to bring CBS, FOX, and ABC all under one tent, so why not do things your own way?Favorite Teams:

Do they no do that anymore? I know that as recently as '11 (I think) they did that. I was CSU in an OD and played some other nobody team and the game wasn't even regional and there were no broadcasters. I thought that was really cool.
I haven't played a game less than regional in '13 to know if it's the same still.Favorite Teams:

Re: LHN, SECN, ABC, ESPN2, ESPNU branding...
That's pretty much what I'm getting at. My dream come true is to have CBS, Fox, NBC, etc, and how awesome would it be to boot up a SEC Alabama vs LSU game and have that this start playing

But that seems like a longshot, so at the very least, I've always wondered why they haven't used the other ESPN branding. At the least I'd want to hear what they have to say about the topic.Comment

I remember on old NBA Live games you could play on TBS or TNT lol. It always felt so cool when I got my game on TNT.Comment

Re: LHN, SECN, ABC, ESPN2, ESPNU branding...
I doubt CBS or FOX would want to use ESPN announcers. So they'd have to get a crew from each network to use, something that WOULD cost money.
Getting multiple television graphics from different broadcast stations is going to be next to impossible, even if you tell them it's just free adverts. These companies spends millions and millions of dollars to get their branding just right and they're going to want it implemented in a game perfectly, as to not screw up the branding. Plus, they're most likely not going to want to be in the game unless they are compensated for it. The most we can probably get right now is the ESPN2/U/ABC stuff mentioned and shown earlier in the thread. CBS and FOX spent a lot of money to get rights to show college football games.
Heck, the television station I work at sells video at $75 per SECOND. I highly doubt FOX and CBS are just going to give away their graphics for free.Last edited by BA2929; 06-06-2013, 02:59 PM."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Haha very good point... If EA were to go with the second broadcast team idea, they could always go cheap and get a some ESPN3 personalities... I would wager there are numerous announcers out there who are great and are just waiting for a opportunity to shine; EA could get someone like that for cheap...With as much as people bitch and moan because the replays aren't from the correct camera angle and the score banner has an EA sticker on it and there's not the same broadcast camera as you see on ESPN, that small, very vocal minority would riot if EA had fictional broadcasters. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

If they go with a 2nd broadcast team, they're going to go with a well known duo. Not some scrubs from ESPN3 that nobody has ever heard of. They have the license with ESPN for a reason and they should be able to tap any of the college football announcers that ESPN employs to do the game, if they so choose. Heck, have Rece Davis do it and give him Jesse Palmer. You can find another guy/gal to do the studio updates.Haha very good point... Re: LHN, SECN, ABC, ESPN2, ESPNU branding...
CBS shows the Sunbowl as well as select Navy games including the Army vs. Navy game and Notre Dame vs. Navy when Navy is the home team.I'm not sure why everyone keeps bringing up CBS as they predominantly (only?) show games from 1 conference. That's a serious waste of resources for such a small return since the vast majority of users wouldn't even play games on the CBS network. CBS was great for NCAA Basketball because CBS shows all kinds of basketball games.
Adding another ESPN crew and/or adding ABC (which is essentially ESPN anyway) would be great but it'd be a serious waste to add a network that only shows games from 1 conference (or even worse, 1 team like the Longhorn network or NBC).
But I get what your're trying to say. But if I were heading up the EA NCAA Football series I would do whatever it takes to get as many networks represented in the game as possible.
Like I said in another post it's probably not something that could be done on the currect gen systems but most definitely could be done in the next gen games.
As well as hopefully having FCS programs and Division II and Division III schools. It would be pretty cool to play the Division II and Division III playoffs with a powerhouse team like Montana.Atlanta Braves
Atlanta Falcons
Auburn Tigers

That sounds like what I just said. They show predominantly 1 conference (SEC) and it sounds like just a handful of other games. Why would it be any less expensive for EA to secure the rights for other networks on the next gen consoles than it is for them now?Favorite Teams:
