As much as I dislike LeBron he definitely deserves the cover. However, I don't really care fit it. Personally, I'd rather him be dunking or dribbling, you know doing something with the actual basketball, rather than a stupid pregame ritual.

MVP, considered the best player in the world right now, at the hight of his career, a pop-culture icon, etc. It makes perfect sense for 2K to put him on the cover. But still, 2K might look silly if he doesn't win another ring this year.
I'm not a fan of the harsh red background either - more so I think the blown up photo of his face as the background is kinda gaudy - but from a branding & identity standpoint, it makes sense 2K applies this same treatment to all their sports franchises.Comment

Well, he does have a Gladiator quote tattooed on his arms. That's good enough to get you on the cover, I say.My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.Comment

definitely not a fan of lebon bon james but he is deserving to be on the cover. I kind of like this cover, I think it's miles ahead of nba 2k13 box art which was straight booty. Like others I would like to see them use another color than red all the time, I guess it fits this cover since miami's colors are red and black, much like MJ and his covers being red was justifiable because the bulls colors are red and black, last year though.....moving on.Comment
