The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

According to one of the podcasts the dev team "blew out" the crowd noise but this does not inspire any confidence at all. I said this last year.....sometimes I wonder if the dev team actually sits down and watches college football because the intensity of the crowd does not come close to matching it in real life. A good announcing team for college football will go silent for a few seconds after the home team scores a TD to let the viewer soak in the atmosphere.
Likely wishful thinking but hopefully this is an early early build and the crowd aspect hadn't been touched yet as of this video
Wouldn't think itd be that hard to get the atmosphere part right seeing how it was perfect on last gen
I didn't see anything magical in this trailer at all. The physics looked minimal and basic at best. I really didn't see the physics taking affect until after the plays were over. The tackles in this video showed that they did absolutely nothing to improve that area of game play. The player equipment also looked minimal at best with the minor addition of gloves, cleats, and base layers. Helmets and face masks still look bland and out of date. The way players ran in this game still looks remnant of NCAA Football 13. Other than the cool sounding player chatter, It looks like NCAA Football 13 will be ready to go for another $60 on July 9th, 2013. (I wrote that last sentence wrong on purpose).
I think the Demo will be the ultimate nail in the coffin if it is anything like what we just saw.

Saw that too, along with a Florida #21 running back picture (there is no #21 running back) but then there is multiple Oregon pictures and others showing starters so not sure what to expect. All that really matters is the attributes being close.
Florida does have a running back #21. It's freshman Kelvin Taylor. All of the Florida players in the screen shots and video are real.
QB #10 = Tyler Murphy
TE #18 = Kent Taylor
WR #4 = Andre Dubose
The catch to all these players is that they are the second string players. Not sure why EA is showing all back ups, but they are. Maybe it has to do with the pre order packs, that are supposed to include certain players.
Also, A&M does have a black quarterback that is the back up to Manziel, the one in the video is most likely him.
This happens every single year lol. It's almost a parody of itself now.
Trailers come out. "Wait till gameplay video."
Gameplay video comes out. "Might be an old build. Wait till demo."
Demo comes out. "Not the same build. It's just a demo. Wait till retail."
Retail comes out. "This will be fixed in a patch. Wait till then."
Patches come out. "Wait till next year."
I feel what you see is what you're getting. I hope I'm wrong. I'd love for there to be a tremendous improvement from crowd audio and reaction. But the actual gameplay? It's right there in front of us IMO.
I love this post. This is exactly the pattern that many of the new sports video games get by optimistic anticipators of the upgrades!!
I can see where you're coming from however its seems a flawed strategy. The way things are going there is such a mistrust of EA and there abilities.
Surely it wold be a better strategy to build an AAA product, and even with minor additions every year people would still buy. I know I would like I do with the Show every year.
These Tiburon games need a massive rebuild and hopefully Next Gen will deliver that.
I won't hold my breath though.
Why do people think that EA can do better next gen if they couldnt even master this gen??? Is there a new programming team in place that wasnt being used here? It appears the more videogames evolve the more EA has trouble mastering some of these games i.e. football basketball

Once this game goes on sell for 19.99 or cheaper, I will consider it. Until then, no thanks. I already have NCAA 12 (which looks really similar).
Wow, really? I personally thought NCAA 12 was one of the worst years ever for the series. To this day, it is the only NCAA title I stopped playing after a couple of months.
BuffEye Rosters available on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The most in-depth roster for NCAA 14 and beyond.

Anybody know what the "R" means on the defensive linemen?
That's the player you have to "Read" when you are on offense and call an option play. According to a post many pages back, it only appears on Freshman and Varsity difficulty levels.
If DL with the R stays at home you have to hand the ball off in the opposite direction.....if the DL with the R bites on the handoff and starts to make his way down the line you pull the ball and run where he was lined up.

Ah, got ya. I figured it was something with "read," I'm just not used to using the term "read," with a D-Linemen. More used to seeing it or using it with the MLB.
