Obviously true step, 50x contextual awareness and some of the other features like dynamic crowds and sidelines is next gen only, but to me it almost seems like they are using a lot of current gen as a foundation as far as line play and contextual awareness.

If this is the case, Madden on next gen is doomed.

Also, I've never seen anyone dive and slide solely on their cup before! :P Look at the defender who dives. His chest never hits the ground. Cup slide!
I guess it comes down to POV and a difference of opinion, no biggie. You are the second poster to state I'm "reaching" but I disagree and an example is in another part of the video, defenders react to other players diving or falling, trying to avoid them. That's what I think is happening in that part, the defender being contextually aware of the blocker and reacting. I could of course be wrong and it's just suction but I have elements to support my opinion. I don't think the blocker hitting him would be a block in the back because it looks to me like the blocker would would catch him from the side.

Also, I liked the slide after the dive because I thought it showed the momentum of the player versus having him just hit the ground and stop. Then again, that's a football field not a basketball court or hockey rink so you might be right, lol. A player should probably only slide like that on a football field in the rain, snow or ice.

Definitely looks like the same old suction/morphing interaction due to the fact the momentum of both players is totally stopped and they morph into the animation. The animations should flow into each other, and that's not happening. I still think everything in the ignite engine is nowhere near being into the game so I'm keeping my mind open, but that's definitely the same stuff from current gen. The slide looked realistic to me though.

Good to here, now maybe this game can improve and move forward instead playing catch up and recycling old features. I think EA owes everyone who bought at least one copy of Madden football this gen some money back. In fact I wonder if we can suit them for selling a customers the same thing twice without disclosing that information.

You must have missed the boat dude. I got in on a class-action suit regarding that same topic. Hasn't been settled but you had to list all football games on all on consoles bought since 2005.

It is Madden 25 so I think it would have made a ton of sense for the initial next gen version (or current gen sendoff) to have Madden in the booth along with Michaels and Visser on the sideline(she was with the 80s CBS "A crew" of Madden and Summerall...while these "bimboreporter" Erin Andrews/Jenn Sterger types were still in diapers.)

If you want to determine there is double team pass block based on that "one arm" reaching out, and further justify that it is the best we have seen and better than the guy "just standing there," that is fine; I will wait for better video...
But you aren't waiting... you are trolling all these threads dismissing EVERYONE' enthusiasm and optimistic outlook in favor of seeing, and even creating, negative things to complain about. Double teaming in OFFENSIVE LINE gameplay, in real life, consists of two players touching/blocking one player WITH the intent for one of the two to DISENGAGE should a second D-player appear to be coming through his gap unblocked. Sounds like you will NEVER be happy because if the video showed what you appear to think "true double-team is" where the two offensive lineman are full on hooked up with the D-lineman with neither one breaking off to stop the second d-player coming in untouched, you'd be LIVID going "SEE!!! EA hasn't fixed anything!!!" Since you appear to have made it your goal to go thread to thread being nothing but negative and more focused on nitpicking every stinking detail just so you can defend yourself from potential letdown later this year when the game isnt ABSOLUTELY REAL and PERFECT IN EVERY WAY, I'll make it my goal to follow you around these threads and let everyone know "Just ignore him, he's always unhappy."
