    Funny Uniform Glitch

I was playing around with the rosters for my Red Sox Franchise, and I traded for Mariano Rivera just to stick it to the Yankees, but when he is wearing the road uniforms, there is no name on the back just on his jersey. (he still wears 42 and there was a name on the back of everybody elses uniform)

Even the game thinks it is blasphemy!!! lol....

( I assume the game treats it like jackie robinson day unis when he goes to a team that wears names on the jerseys)

Russell Martin of the Pirates still has J Martin on the back of his. I think it's from when there were two Martins or something in LA. Then on the Yanks, there were no names, so now he's a Pirate and it defaults to J Martin.

The "J" was for his mother.

I believe this is because of the fact that Mo plays for the Yankees. I fantasy drafted him on my Indians team and the same thing happens to me. The Yanks have no names on any of their jerseys and maybe the Show figured, "Yanks have no names? Well, guess we don't have to code a 'Rivera' jersey" It's a bit ridiculous but there's no way to fix it. Believe me, I've spent many an hour trying...

He desn't have a name on his back when you go to the edit player screen either, which is odd because all of the other Yankees do when you are in the edit player screen. Also I believe his name was on his jersey in the edit player screen last year. That is weird why it isn't this season.

It has to be because of Jackie Robinson and the fact that it's retired league wide. When April 15th, nobody wears their names on the back, so that's coded into the game.
              Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Because you can't pick the #42 in any other circumstance. So the game had to program it and since he plays for the Yankees they didn't put a name on him.

This. They don't "code" names onto uniforms. It's all in the last name which then goes onto the uniform. However "42" uniforms are set to not contain a last name which is why this happens. If you could somehow change his number from 42 then he'll probably have a last name display.
