I dont expect them to come out with everything when it's a completely new team and engine they are using. Nobody knows when they started working on 14 and besides didn't we want them to start over after what was shown of elite and 13? Atleast now it coincides with next gen consoles and the foundation is being laid.

Can't wait for more input and videos. Good or bad it's always entertaining here.
i couldn't agree with you more!

The Bounce tech sounds familiar. sounds like the same type of dribbling system that 2k already has, which I believe EA had in past games (NCAA 10). I do like the mention of no skating feel on the dribble moves though.
nobody has this ability in their basketball game yet..it was stated in the presentation and on articles on IGN.com

In Live 10 those size ups were canned animations.. I know a little behind the dribbling system there and believe me, that game had issues. Mike Wang just got creative and that team did some crafty things. Other than that it was so flawed that they couldnt do anything more.

What people here don't care for is talking about dribbling again. Why, because there was never anything wrong with it. Nobody ever asked for it to be changed, yet its still in the forefront, and again this company has had time to do many things. Im not saying we shouldn't wait because trust me people are, im just telling you that EA has put themselves in this position and they need to show and do much more before opinions change. Its not that peoples minds are made up, they made up people's minds with all of the lies and not delivering a thing in the midst of it all.

Its not irrational here Tuss... EA hasn't done anything yet have they? Again man, dribbling was never a negative point. NEVER.

If this bounceTek thing resembles dribbling in FIFA (where the ball is accessible/tangible to all players at all times) then this is good news. I also like how there was no sliding while the player dribbled. Foot-planting has been much needed in basketball games. But the best part out of all this is that there was no mention of robotic movements. Finally there's some hope.
Lets hope the buzzword bounce tek is not as lame as other buzzwords and broken features like Pro Tak and real time physics.

I can't wait to see 5-on-5 gameplay. But the fact that the Live team is comparing themselves to the Cleveland Cavaliers is a bit concerning. If Kyrie represents the new dribble system, I'm hoping their 5-on-5 gameplay is comparable to Dion Waiters and not Nerlens "Not in service" Noel.

        I'll be waiting patiently...
5 on 5 you say? That's basically what evreryone else is saying they want to see because we've done this show one guy dribble in the lone WIP screen.

StephensonMC was the community guy here during Live 09. HE took alot of abuse from posters because Live had been so messed up for so long. He actually established some trust through that year and the next when he became apart of the dev team the next year and he stuck with the guys, took the criticisms, took the metacritic score to heart and was realistic and was dedicated to the game. Live 10 wasnt a failure, but it was a great 1st year base... 09 was headed there, but 10 took it to the point where you still see guys tweaking and playing it.

Guys from here were invited to EA... I can tell you one of them here actually implemented those fantastic plays in the game which has changed basketball games landscape...so in short without getting into background stuff, yes guys here do influence some things. They were way more involved than you know and on top of that their fans and customers as well.

So see 2k is also working on a new engine right? If they have a ton of stuff, what is EAs excuse again? Because its basically excuse after excuse.
Nobody wanted them to take pieces of a failed game in E-Lite and add it because it was a disaster, envisioned by a freaking hockey guy. I don't want that and you don't either

Can't wait for more input and videos. Good or bad it's always entertaining here.
Waiting on the real gameplay videos. If they do well they will hear it. If they don't they will hear it..but at the same time they should listen to the fans and improve on it instead of ignoring them, or they'll end up in the same situation again.

I don't really follow 2k other than a rental each year to see if its to my liking. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they release Pre alpha stuff too that wasn't true 5v5 gameplay? Did they address the longtime issues of online, spacing, dribbling, movement and passing in that clip? They already had good animations and player models..why oh why do they present that again instead of listening to the fans?

It goes both ways but for some reason 2k gets a pass and 2k is allowed to be thrown out in the live forum yet a mention of live there is board suicide.

Their 5-on-5 gameplay in the past couple years is quite comparable to Luke Walton !

In all seriousness though, I'm hoping for the best for Live 14!

You wanted all of that in a 1 minute trailer?

Look man, 2k didnt present at E3, but EA did.

2k didnt have 3 or 4 years to make it right, but EA did

              There is a HUGE difference.

So ea should have developed live 14 3-4 years prior to release of the new consoles without any knowledge of the capabilities of the new consoles....?

Both companies have had the same time with the kits. I applaud ea for including a hands on demo along with a trailer.

No they should've been working babysteps on a foundation, after Elite 11, instead of redoing the foundation every year after. Given they wanted change after sales of Live 10 were below expectations.

They had dev kits for more than 1 yr.. same as everyone else. Its not like they didn't know what the fans wanted.. They have years worth of wishlists. Instead we kept hearing about Tyson Chandler's mangly beard, and the pores on his forehead. Or Smash TV/Total Carnage controls. People have been screaming for better animations, player models, rules, more plays etc.

We've heard more buzzwords than a game of Scrabble from these devs...

I do agree with you that Elite wasn't going to be a great game and that EA Sports has been slacking the past couple years, but you must not watch Basketball to say that players don't possess signature dribbles. Signature dribbling can range from crossovers to the way a person brings the ball up court. You can see a difference in a way Derrick Rose dribbles compared to Rajon Rondo. Derrick Rose is more bouncy and shifty with his dribbling compared to Rondo's slower, but extremely crafty dribbling movements.

I think EA must have looked at what worked in previous live features that worked and improved on that. The dribbling moves on the right stick just felt right. Now they've taken that part to a new level.
If however dribbling is their biggest feature then they might be in trouble.
That being said i cannot believe that they would think this feature would be the one to put them back in a position to be the top nba game around.

If the game will only release closer to november, then i would say the bigger features are yet to be revealed.

EA has long past the point of getting the benefit of the doubt with their basketball game. I don't care as long as 2k puts a game out. How many basketball games do you need anyway? Yeah competition is good but I won't support a product that is only average at best.

what are you talking about -Bounce tech.
"There are quite a few layers to the dribbling system, below are just some of the examples:

Flick up - In and out
Flick down - Behind the back
                                Flick right - Hesitation
                                Flick left - Crossover
135 degrees (lower left) - Between the legs"

whats the difference between this and 2ks dribbling system. IMO, its only the name. unless there is some more depth to it that they aren't mentioning.

as far as Synergy I said that's a nice feature. so I dont get your comment
