Online Dynasty Ideas

I'm usually the commish of an online dynasty and most years I don't have any rules and I don't normally change up any of the AI either. I just put everything on Heisman and we play.

Due to all the issue with the gameplay last year, I wanted to implement some type of rules or something in order to add more strategy to the game and to play more of a sim style game.

I also wanted to know if anyone does anything special with recruiting to eliminate all the user teams being stacked with all the best recruits? Although EA may have solved this issue for us with the new recruiting system. But do you limit the number of commits a school can sign based on the number of seniors leaving or something like that?

I'm just looking for some ideas to possibly enhance the online dynasty experience and add a level of realism to it. All ideas are welcomed and if a thread like this already exists then my apologies.

I'm a huge ncaa guy but I've never done online dynasty before and me an a couple friends were gonna try it this year and I was just wondering if you could use custom rosters for the online dynasty. Like with names rating changes equip edits etc.

Yes, you can use any roster you want

Limit recruits to players leaving, which means in season you can only sign recruits equal to your seniors. Obviously you'll have underclassmen leave, so that'll add some fun scrambling in the off season to find new recruits.

You could also limit the number of players they can have on a recruiting board or it can be filled but, they can't add or drop anyone.

Restrict recruits to "local" regions or limit the number of recruits from far regions. Not something you'd really apply for schools like Michigan, Bama, USC, etc. This would really be a rule for a dynasty if you guys played lower level BCS schools.

Limit the 5*/4* based upon program prestige?

No trying to keep transfers from leaving, just doesn't seem like something that'd ever happen in real life. If a guy wants to transfer, its likely a playing time or depth issue and coaches would probably love the extra scholarship.

Mandatory 70 man rosters, not making cuts will keep you from getting transfers.

Uhm... that's about all the ideas I've done for recruiting

Those are some pretty good ideas. Do you do anything special rules for games? Also how do you handle user v user when the game disconnects? I'm looking to have my rules all in place and ready to go once the rosters are completed.
