Re: Official Madden 25 E3 Video Thread
I had to edit the post. It's not just the stuff at the beginning it's the entire video. None of that stuff is new. I was doing that before I stopped playing 13. The thing with doing a lot of that is you open up larger holes in EA's defensive plays. The holes are already glaring. What we need are better ways to disguise pre-snap.Comment

Re: Official Madden 25 E3 Video Thread
This x 10000. Coverages are way to predictable. This "give cushion" mechanic might be the start of it, but I doubt it. Madden continues to make things "easy" for the offense, and not force anyone to think, or hold the ball (which would also help the lack luster pass rush). Nothing I have seen in the E3 videos leads me to believe that defense will be all that different this year.I had to edit the post. It's not just the stuff at the beginning it's the entire video. While it's no where near enough, they did add disguise cushion to M25. It's shown in some video and explained by Zfarls and/orSgibs.I had to edit the post. I saw it, but I am skeptical of how effective it will be for people who know how to manipulate this game. While it's no where near enough, they did add disguise cushion to M25. It's shown in some video and explained by Zfarls and/orSgibs.

Re: Official Madden 25 E3 Video Thread
I really wish they would work on the throwing animations. Get more sig stuff. Some of the generic throwing animations look bad. Especially when QB's have distinct styles. I guess when they did the trajectories it came at the expense of these wack qb animations. Hopefully next gen they fix this.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: Official Madden 25 E3 Video Thread
Would you mind elaborating on potential exploits or bypasses for this new mechanic? I am just generally curious because it sounds good on paper, in response to people quickly hot routing to out routes as soon as they see the defender playing off. I am of course not suggesting that disguising the cushion is the ideal or fundamental fix, just wondering what if any potential issues you perceive.
Or are you just stating that those who would exploit cushion in M13 will likely just find some other exploit to negate disguise cushion anyway? If that's it, I feel you and nothing anyone can do until EA stops listening and catering to any specific focus group and just creates fundamental football.Comment

Re: Official Madden 25 E3 Video Thread
Although I won't be getting the current gen of Madden 25, I like some of the things that I heard Clint Oldenburgh discussing regarding line play. As far as disguising coverages, it would be nice if you could change the shell like APF2k8 allowed you to do. Maybe they could expound on that and allow you to select the disguised shell in your play select screen? Not sure, just throwing out ideas.Would you mind elaborating on potential exploits or bypasses for this new mechanic? Re: Official Madden 25 E3 Video Thread
It is pretty amazing to me to see how far this game has come in a year. The gameplay, player control, locomotion/footplanting (Cant wait to get the full iteration in next-gen), blocking (particularly run blocking), and just general look of the game looks so much better. (Obviously this is just videos but I have a feeling it will feel pretty nice in our hands as well)
One thing it looks like they did was make the animations much more aggressive. When players run into each other there seems to be much more of a sense of struggle, blitzer's seem to blitz with a purpose, they seem to have added a bunch of IMPACT blocking animations that don't force the to square up and "dance". The OL/DL animations appear to have movement to them now where you can DRIVE players in different directions to open up holes, or cause disruption on defense.
They just seemed to really clean up a lot of the things that we so bothersome to many this entire generation. Also, I am not sure if it is IE 2.0 or a change to animations, but everything seems to LOOK a lot smoother. The animations dont seem to have that herky-jerky, very wonky look to them. (Although we do see it on occasion)
Lastly, I like the way they panned the standard camera back so we can see the entire field now. That was just awful last year when we couldnt even see wider then the hash marks. (It would be amazing if they could add the coordinator camera from NCAAA)
The big question is how is the AI going to be in this years Madden. From the NCAA vids the AI looks MUCH improved, but hopefully not only AI behavior, but also play calling is improved as well. We havent seen much Madden CPU gameplay to judge either so far.
How far this game seems to have come in one year on the current gen really excited me for November and Next-Gen Madden. If this is any indication, and you add on the true locomotion system (for every player on the field), all new OL/DL interaction in both the running game and pass protection, new player awareness AI, and this supposedly completely re-vamped stadium atmosphere with living sidelines that include over 300 3D models on each sideline.
WOW, the future could be bright!Comment
