Re: Phil Steele's 2013 Top 40 Countdown
A lot of faith in Jameis Winston, if he pans out to his high expectations they could easily be one of the best teams in CFB. If not then most likely in the 10-15 range.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Phil Steele's 2013 Top 40 Countdown
If we hadn't blown the WVU and (especially) TCU games, we would've finished 11-2. Only game where we looked totally out of it was against OU (we had our chances against K-State), and I expected that to change dramatically this season; assuming Manny Diaz actually takes our defenders out of the Blake Gideon School of Tackling and Ash takes the necessary steps to be a consistent national title-calibur QB. Everything is set up for this team to be very good. Only thing that really worries me about our team is the back end of the secondary.
Suffice it to say, I don't think you'll be laughing by the end of the season.Comment

Re: Phil Steele's 2013 Top 40 Countdown
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Nobody cares about the maybe's, everybody cares about the results. Texas hasn't produced and they don't show any signs of improving their lot. Ash has to improve a lot. Brown has to find his old magic. There are a ton of variables down in Austin.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: Phil Steele's 2013 Top 40 Countdown
Yeah, OU is down and Texas is a team on the rise as stated by some of their fans last year. Last year was probably Stoops' second worst team and Texas has all of these great running backs and 5 star recruits...If we hadn't blown the WVU and (especially) TCU games, we would've finished 11-2. I just hope my team is competitive this season. We lost key players from a team that wasn't even that good by OU standards.Last edited by BigDofBA; 06-20-2013, 11:22 PM.***My Teams***

Virginia Tech @ #12? Overrated.
For the record, Nebraska is too high at #16. I'd place them somewhere in the 20 range.Comment
