I wish the ball would stop bouncing 10 yards after it lands from a punt every time and had a little variety anyway.

Other than that though loving the gameplay.

Just thoroughly dominated TAMU with Oregon. The two-headed attack of Mariota and DeAnthony Thomas was lethal - 9 carries, 108 yards for Mariota and 7 carries, 90 yards for DAT. Read option works so well.

Only thing is...this was on Heisman. Granted, I could not get the passing game going (only 4-9, 37 yards and a late TD at the GL) but I never needed to as I jumped to a nearly 17-0 lead. I'm also usually good with the option, so that could be a factor, as well as TAMU's defense being an 88 (Oregon's offense is a 99 I think).

The new running mechanic feels so great, and as I thought, speed will kill in this game. Also, in user games, guys in stick skills will probably do really well (esp. online) so hitting up the Skills Trainer might be a good idea.

Because I jumped to an early lead, TAMU's run game didn't get going at all, really. Still got ate up in the passing game for a second game in a row. And that was on AA defense...I was able to get pressure though, but every pass was on the money just about.

I can call a play on offense but only after the play clock runs out. On defense the game just keeps going.

Now my PS3 version froze. Wow, lol. Something doesn't want me to play this demo much. I hope I don't have issues like this with the retail copy.

Back juke is sexy......I am so glad they brought this back. Haven't the opportunity to do a recovery move yet. Nor have I seen it yet so far. Oregon actually plays like Oregon, I am impressed. For default sliders, I must say this is the best football game I ever played. Just a few minor things though.

                  1. Defenders pull up on tackles too much. It is as though if they see another tackle being made and the guy is on his way down, the defender will just stop in his tracks, instead of joining in on the tackle.

                  2. Crowd needs to be louder.

But other then that, this demo is a blast. Player chatter is very good. Oregon QB was calling out my blitzes, I was saying to myself you S.O.B. Just isn't mindless chatter either, the other players actually react to what is being said. Like I was favoring the draw play, LB called it out, sure enough the DT blew it up in the backfield. Then all you heard was good job.
GMS, the best tip I can give you for crowd noise is to jack your TV volume up, and turn down the volume of things like commentary, on the field noise, and the PA. It has worked great for me, and the crowd seems super loud.

I have mixed feelings about the demo, I played the PS3 version.

On one hand I thought the game played great for the most part. Pretty much every aspect of the gameplay itself was definitely improved. The cpu AI and player movements were the best I have experienced so far in a football game. I applaud EA for really putting a serious effort into this stuff.

The player models are really bad though and take away from the experience greatly. After playing two games with the demo I put in NCAA 11 and Madden 13 and both had much "cleaner" looking player models. Sure in the cut scenes the players looked really good, but as they walked up to the line of scrimmage and especially when in their stance they looked horrible, I'm sorry. Each player was a jaggy blurry mess. I know it's not my tv since as I mentioned Ncaa 11 and Madden 13 both looked really good and much better.

The other thing that bothered me was lack of button responsiveness both in play calling (having to press a button more than once for the game to recognize it) and twice I tried to pass but it didn't recognize that I pressed a button, I had to press the button again but by then my WR was either covered or going too far towards the sideline. Once again this isn't an issue with my other football games, or any other games.

Overall I left the demo feeling let down. Despite the vastly improved gameplay, I just don't understand this late into the console generation how the player models can be that blurry and jaggy (worse than previous releases), as well as the lack of responsiveness when pressing buttons on my controller. I am half tempted to blow the dust off my 360 to try the demo on it, although I haven't bought a 360 game in two years and don't plan on buying any more either.

At this point I will wait for Madden and check it out. Worst case scenario I wait for next gen.

Maybe it's just the demo but the shovel pass animation is hard to trigger and I usually end up with a bullet pass. Disappointing when it worked so well last year.

You cant DL the demo on 360 without gold. And the players a jaggy due to the ram issue most likely. To many other things were made to look better. I have the same issue with MLB The Show

I appreciate the info about the 360 version. Why though does Madden 13's player models look so much better? I understand we are dealing with "old" consoles and hardware limitations but if ten months ago Madden was released and looked great on the ps3, why the problem with NCAA this year? It doesn't make any sense.

Im not sure. It will be interesting to see how it looks on Madden for current gen.

                              Slow - animations look better

Normal Camera - The coordinator cam make the players look like ants and you basically see the entire field. I can't get down like that, makes it feel like I'm cheating seeing the entire field all at once like that. Plus I don't like the ant look anyway. Zoom is too close and wide doesn't do anything for me either.

Speed Threshold at 50 works fine for me. With the way the acceleration works this year, if you step on the gas at the right time, you won't get caught from behind.
