Overall the demo is great, but I feel that the curl routes are still too effective.

Oregon's playbook had too many plays from Urban Meyer's Florida days! Ohio State's playbook was almost identical to what they run in real life. I enjoyed all the Inside Zone Read's (IZR's) and HB Zone runs. The spread playbook has a run for about everyone now. You can nearly make a WR Run playbook out of the spread. Would be kind of fun with DAT MAMBA

        Positives:
        1. First and foremost this game is actually fun to play especially in the coordinator mode! I really had a blast on offense, it almost seems like anything could happen, it doesn't feel so scripted.

        2. Running feels great, planting and cutting.

        3. The fatigue system is really cool, although I wasn't even on the field long enough to really feel a huge difference, but I could feel it on long plays.

        4. Defense doesn't have that instantaneous reaction to everything anymore, it feels more natural and smooth.

        5. Player models and referee look a ton better.

        6. The options such as looking at WR/DB matchups is cool, being able to change difficulty on either side of the ball, and the new coordinator camera view is AWESOME!

        7. Button responsiveness is greatly improved, when I want to pitch he pitches it, when I want to stiff arm, it happens, when I want to juke he jukes. I feel more in control than ever.

        Negatives:
        1. The commentary is the worst in all of sports. It feels as stale as it did in 2001, not really much as changed other than Corso is gone. Sometimes it feels as if they are whispering just to me. No real sense of what is going on. My QB got hurt, they say nothing, I recover an onside kick, they say nothing. Just plain awful, I'm so sick of it.

        2. Atmosphere is still lacking quite a bit. Crowd is stale, although a tad better than years past.

        3. Animations are just still bad, I can't wait until next gen.

playing Bama/VT, CPU Virginia tech is returning a kickoff, dude gets tackled but he was on top of one of the bama players, pulled a dyer, got up and ran a couple extra feet. never seen that in a game before. Impressed

The QB still had the ball
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it only illegal man downfield if the ball is thrown past the line of scrimmage? As far as I know, lineman can go downfield and even engage as long as the ball is caught behind the line of scrimmage.

The game is improved but essentially the same.

I think a lot of the "fluff" makes people feel like it's completely different after like 20 minutes of play. When I'm saying fluff, I'm talking about things like new menus, a few new celebrations, and a few added cut scenes. You guys know what I'm talking about, it's the main things they update each year that add little to the game.

The line plays slightly better and tackles look slightly better but I thought we would be a lot further after 7-8 years on this system.

I really hope Xbox 4 doesn't play out like the Xbox 360 did. The first installment on the 360 was stripped down and most of the stadiums weren't even in the game. It wasn't until like the 4th or 5th year until we go Bowl art, patches, stadiums, etc. back into the game. THINGS THAT WERE IN 13 YEARS AGO. Then it was marketed like some addition to the game.

Oh well. It's just a more polished game from last year which is essentially what the last 4-5 installments have been.

Is the Zoom camera different from Madden's? I thought Madden was a little too tight, so hoping NCAA's is pulled back just a tad from that.

I hate it but we always look for negatives so I'll try and give both sides.

-I like that your RB explodes after receiving the handoff without having to use speed burst. Running has come a long way. It's no longer a pass happy game.
-The screen options and reading of screens have come a long way. It's made this game a lot more realistic. It does have it's major faults though.
-I love the leading receivers and throwing low, etc. It's a better feel than before.
-Cuts by a runner are excellent.
My likes list can go on and on, but it's very solid

My negatives are pretty mundane, but there are corrections that need to be made.
-Offensive line hard count...fix it. I should be able to hard count on 4th and short and my line should be better disciplined. Same garbage as last year
-Interception animation is sluggish at best. I do like that when you are alone and the pick is coming right to your defender, he doesn't hesitate to haul it in. But the animation is slow, almost like the defender is bobbling it for 2-3 seconds before the camera flips angles.
-Bad user defensive line pressure. I don't want last years arcade style numbers, but I should be able to move my O-lineman so that I disrupt the pocket.
-Running back button layout change on read option makes zero sense. You start with your running back being RB and your slot receive being Y even though you know what play you're running. After you snap the ball depending on the direction of the run, your running back can change to LB and your slot WR changes from Y to RB. Make the layout before the snap and stick to it.
-Trucking is only equaled by gang tackling. Running has been boosted so much I haven't been able to open field tackle without some sort of extra yardage.
-What the F is with the hurry up offense? Am I taking crazy pills or does it revert back to your last play call option and not allow you to switch the formation? You should be able to make an adjustment to a different formation.

This is an outstanding game. It feels and looks great. I just can't bare some things that make no sense.

                          No you weren't.

Anyways, Infinity Engine 2 has really turned the gameplay from stale and repetitive to lively, exciting, and unpredictable. Truly a much better game all around.

First game I beat Texas A&M as Oregon 10-3. Then lost the next game to Ohio State as Michigan 14-10. Didn't feel cheated by anything at all.

With those pointing out graphics, could graphics have been sacrificed a bit for the demo to make it a smaller file size?

Will they ever add a camera that's in between Standard and Zoom view, sheesh.

I doubt it. Every demo I have ever played of NCAA has always been pretty much the exact same thing that is released a month later.

I don't think the game is bad but it's just not really that much different. The slight improvements are things that I feel like should have been improved a long time ago.
