Re: Anyone else planning to switch to Live becuase of awful servers?
No no one in the right mind would switch to live where the players and their faces don't match and look like they came from mars. Quit whining you will buy 2k we all know it so just stop -
Re: Anyone else planning to switch to Live becuase of awful servers?
You might want to change this to:
"If Live actually releases a game"
Not sure how you think Live will be "better" after they haven't even released a game in what, 3 years?
I don't know about you, but playing online really isn't a big deal to me... The single player experience in 2K is matched only by MLB The Show in my opinion... If I want to play vs a human, I play with my friends, in my house, on 1 TV... You know... how it used to be...

Dont play online that much so dont care for the servers, love 2ks gameplay but if live can make a good game wouldnt mind getting it to.Psn: DiehardDetroitComment

Not sure why you think that considering he never said that Live would be better.Originally posted by Dogslax41Most people that are asking for a simulation game don’t really want a simulation game because its too hard.Comment

No, not just for the severs. The game actually needs to be really good for me even to give it a look.Last edited by ForeverVersatile; 06-25-2013, 10:02 AM.PSN: ForeverVersatile

Re: Anyone else planning to switch to Live becuase of awful servers?
Servers aren't perfect but 2K13 by far has the best online performance than past games. No lag, 5on5 teamup runs seamlessly, no more my player cheaters with 99 uncapped 10 ft tall, etc. I'll take it. A lot of the lagouts can be easily avoided by making new locker rooms and deleting your settings file.Comment

Re: Anyone else planning to switch to Live becuase of awful servers?
BTW, it's a completely legitimate question. It's nothing to sneer at or something so ridiculous that you feel compelled to question the mental capabilities of the asker. Live 10 after all these years, still has better paint defense out of the box (and thus online) than 2K's latest offering and lag doesn't affect the on-ball D to the degree that 2K is.
I also find it pointless when people say in a thread about online, that they don't play online and therefore don't care. Don't post then, because none of what you said is relevant to the topic.Originally posted by Dogslax41Most people that are asking for a simulation game don’t really want a simulation game because its too hard.Comment

Re: Anyone else planning to switch to Live becuase of awful servers?
Judging by the trailers that are released so far, Live should just cancel the release again. 2k's actual in game footage looked better than that CGI based artificial trailer that EA released. Even if the servers are slightly better the overall community will be a lot smaller. You cant expect to disappear for 2 years and expect your entire fan base to be back since most of them switched to 2k and figured out what they were missing.Comment

Those are UTTER LIES. The fact that you can't keep up with the offensive player online, like you can offline, proves that there IS lag. No, 5 on 5 teamups don't run seamlessly. There are still not infrequent occurrences of lag, which means that people might have to call timeout for their point guard who is heading out of bounds.Servers aren't perfect but 2K13 by far has the best online performance than past games. It's a bit too much of an ask to get 9 other people to delete their settings files. I was in a team-up session yesterday, where we kept creating and recreating locker rooms about seven times and it didn't prevent lagouts from recurring. You can't be intellectually honest and claim that 2K's servers aren't nothing short of terrible.Originally posted by Dogslax41Most people that are asking for a simulation game don’t really want a simulation game because its too hard.Comment

I am actually glad EA is releasing NBA live this year (hopefully). Not because I want to buy it, but that means 2ksports will have to get off their lazy asses and give us a roster update more often. EA is amazing at updating rosters, but I can only handle so much 1 dimensional "Kevin Durant" looking body types on the court at the same time.
