Pass/Run Commit
Is it broken for anyone else on the demo? On 13 it would light up showing that you committed, this year it does nothing and my DL don't bull rush left or right. Broken or what?Tags: None -
Never noticed since run commit just sucks in my opinion as you get burned to easy.
I do always use the pass commit but I don't if its broken in the demo or not -

Re: Pass/Run Commit
I don't think (and hoping) it's in this year. They mentioned jump the snap was out so maybe they took it out as well.Moderator

Re: Pass/Run Commit
I've been using pass commit and it works fine. I think I've used run commit once on the goal line and got burned horribly.
They did make a nice change this year that I really enjoy. When you select pass commit (for example) it instantly accepts the button input. Before, you had to highlight the option and keep pressing that direction while you release L2. If you got lazy with the right stick it wouldn't accept the input. Also, after selecting pass commit, your user player would start "pumping up" the crowd at an awkward time -- clearly showing what you just selected.
Needless to say they really cleaned that up.Comment

That answers my question then. It used to light up when you selected it and I thought it wasn't working.I've been using pass commit and it works fine. I think I've used run commit once on the goal line and got burned horribly.

Re: Pass/Run Commit
I noticed it not lighting up last year too. I actually liked that part of it but maybe they did it for head-to-head games and it was too difficult (or not worth the effort) to code them separately.Comment

Re: Pass/Run Commit
I was wondering why it didn't light up either, but I think the mechanic is still in the game. They probably don't light up incase you are playing vs. on the same console, don't want to give away what your tactics are...just my theory.2013-2014 Nashville Predators: 36-16-1 L10(8-2-0)

Re: Pass/Run Commit
Could definitely be the case. It was always a dead giveaway when my user-controlled defender started "pumping up" the crowd in every passing situation -- clearly giving away that I was selecting pass commit. The game didn't disconnect the input from pass commit to on-the-field.
It's great to see others remember and appreciate him. It seems like time just disappears with each passing decade. He was my childhood sports hero, definitely miss the Chiefs teams of the 90's. I'm pretty sure that pic is from his 7-sack game.Comment
