    Hardest State to Recruit Out of?

    I am planning on make a teambuilder dynasty with a very low overall team and want to place the school in a location that would make it more difficult to recruit out of. I was thinking that Alaska or Montana would be some of the more difficult destinations, but I am unsure. Where would you guys think is the most difficult state to attract recruits is?

    Wyoming = desolate.
    BuffEye Rosters available on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The most in-depth roster for NCAA 14 and beyond.

      If your doing a teambuilder based off of a real school, UMaine has to have some tough recruiting while not being out in the middle of nowhere. Otherwise, North Dakota schools must have it rough, even their border states have crappy recruiting.

        I would guess Alaska. Very few recruits come out of that state, also, you will be at disadvantage location wise for the big 3 recruiting states (FL, CAL & TX)

          I don't think I will be doing it based off a real school. That's sort of how I came to my conclusion of Montana though, since it is landlocked between Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.

            Alaska, Montana, the Dakotas, and Wyoming imo.

              Just be aware that when you use a teambuilder team, you take on the pipelines of the team you replace

                If you're making a TeamBuilder School, then probably Wyoming. The only decent border state is Colorado, and you have to compete for the few in-state recruits with Wyoming. At least if you take Montana or one of the Dakotas you have all of the in-state recruits to yourself.

                  Wouldnt you take on the pipelines of the team you put as your template NOT the team you replace since the pipelines come from where your recruits are from so just make sure your players are from harder states or maybe make sure you DON'T have any states that have enough players for the states to be a pipeline.

                    It's a combination of your roster template and the team you replace IIRC.

                    New Hampshire is no picnic to recruit either

                        Re: Hardest State to Recruit Out of?

                        If you're placing it in any state you want then Alaska and the Dakotas are obvious choices, but don't forget about Hawaii. They're either tied for the fewest recruits per year (4) or they possibly have 5. Like Alaska, your proximity pitches are gonna suck. As an added bonus (over Alaska) you have an established school already there (even though they suck, I'm assuming they'll still be a lot more prestigious than your TB school) to sign away your in state recruits.

                          I appreciate all the input you guys have given. The suggestion of Hawaii with extra competition is not something I had thought of. However, I decided to place the team in Alaska. The idea of being the only team in a state and being able to build a program off local recruits seemed appeasing to me. I liked the suggestion of placing the team in that small town in Alaska. I ultimately decided to do something a little more unrealistic and placed the school in a ghost town.

                              Placing a one star team in canada can lead to some recruiting problems as well, but for a state Alaska would more than likely be the worst.
