Re: NCAA Football 14 Demo is Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
One thing I like was that I was trailing by 5 points, with no timeouts and only 41 seconds remaining in the game and the ai kept spying my qb, and forcing me to drive the length of the field knowing that only a td would beat them. I couldn't just scramble for big chunks of yards like in past games, hopefully that's not a coincidence.Comment

The only trouble I've had in the demo so far is CPU clock management. Maybe it's just me or the situations that I manage to put the computer in. My friends haven't really complained about it. I've just seen some bad uses of timeouts and such.
Other than that it's a great game in my opinion. Really looking forward to getting my hands on the early release Friday! From The Ashes OS DynastyHawaiiUTSA

Re: NCAA Football 14 Demo is Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
im having a blast with this demo and I just wanted to point out a few things that I really like seeing in this years game
1- the ankle socks are gone a real pet peeve of mine in recent years, it's cosmetic but needed. im sure roster editors will appreciate this more than most
2- I'm really digging the outline and detail artwork put into the cleats this year. it hasn't gone unnoticed and its a little detail that really polishes up the player a bit. again cosmetic. I also believe the NIKE swoosh on the uniform pants is new as well but also adds a nice little touch for realism. finally EA seems to be "diving in" to the details
3- the build of the player models, especially the big guys, (FB, LB, DL, OL, TE) all look slimmed down bit. they streamlined the builds which really makes them actually resemble "athletes" for once. not like the models of the past that made lineman look like obeast slobs. also the pad levels for all the players seem to be lowered to really resemble the way football players wear there pads these days. gone are the days of the "hulking" shoulder pads of the 80's and 90's and now NCAA14 seemingly will reflect that as well.
4- I cant say enough on how much better they have done this year with making all the colors of the game really "pop". NO MORE washed out look this year.
5- I really have been enjoying the group celebration cut scenes after the play. adds a nice touch to immersion.
6-last but definitely not least the new camera angles (zoom, coord) are great its nice to have more than one angle to play from which enables us to switch it up after awhile to keep things fresh. we STILL need a custom camera option but these new angles are a start and a step in the right direction.
Im not going to talk about gameplay yet. Ill hold off till the release but I am very encouraged by what I have seen so far from he demo. Cant wat tll Friday and to get my hands on an edited roster and put in some work. The effort is there this year clearly and thus far it really shows.Last edited by CT Pitbull; 07-01-2013, 04:20 AM.It's not the dog in the fight, it's the fight in the dog...XBL GT: Godz HittmanComment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Demo is Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
I have been playing around with all the audibles and hot routes and I have discovered a major "cheat". The route "Zig" is uncoverable. I have not had one play where it wasnt a completion. I went 11 for 11 on All American and that was the only pass route I threw to. You guys should try it out to see for yourself.Comment

Ignite engine? I think you're getting ahead of yourself. I know you meant the infinity engine, just messing with ya. It's too bad we don't have the Ignite engine yet.Comment

Game felt better than it has in the past, less stiff. Thought it felt too slow overall even moved up to the fast setting.Comment

It did feel a little slow, but i really enjoyed the game
The tacking was great and I was able to get good matches in heisman setting.
One thing I loved was the cpu defenders able to switch up what they were doing last minute when they saw the ball. It was quite realistic. The mlb was running in for a blitz and I went to throw the ball by him...he adjusted himself to get the interception and it looked very natural.

Re: NCAA Football 14 Demo is Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
Has anyone found it any easier to stop slants? Played some HUM v HUM over the weekend in the demo on Heisman and it was still a piece of cake to complete slant after slant.
Interesting though, I noticed it was much easier for the home team to complete slants as the visitors DB's were typically a step slow to react. Vice versa as well, the home team's DB's were cat quick and shadowed a few slants nicely."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: NCAA Football 14 Demo is Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
Ok. This is the 2nd time this happened. PS3 demo. I was Michigan, I was playing ohio state. Ohio State threw a pass into the endzone, My michigan safety caught the football in the endzone, I was tackled in the endzone. Touchback right? Nope. They gave Ohio State a touchdown after a review. This happened before. Last time, the defender caught the ball out of bounds and they still gave the offense a touchdown. This is truly a gamebreaker unless it's not in the final product of course...Comment
